Video games are 40 to 60 hours of entertainment... meanwhile, here I sit at over 1000 hours on Tears of the Kingdom and still haven't gone in to beat Gannon 🤣 My first video game system was Pong. It hooked up to the TV and was only Pong. It had two paddles with rotating buttons. After that, we got an Atari 2600. It progressed from there, but now I am solely a switch girl. We still have an original NES, Playstation, PS2, PS4, and a Wii. We also have a DS 3D, and two or three Gameboys.

Good old Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, King's Quest, Space Quest, Broken Sword etc.

@RonJDuncan8 ай бұрын
I'm with Joe for the most part on nostalgia, though I have a few years on him - I was born in '76. While I actually cut my teeth on the Atari 2600, the NES dominated my teen years where I truly came to love video games. I waited a couple of years after the SNES came out and got one in 1995 after being part of the workforce, then onto the PlayStation a couple of years later (I skipped the N64) because I loved JRPGs and I needed my Final Fantasy 7 fix and just continued on from there. I also got a Dreamcast back in the day, and yeah, that one was fun to use.

I could tell instantly that Brandel has been on some CoD, Apex, and other shooter games when he said hell yeah brother the way he did. As a born and raised Texan, a lot of our online friends would make fun of our accents around the deep south similar to the way Brandel did that. 😅 Some great titles talked about here. Dude, going from split screen gaming to online was such a great time for us gamers. We used to host Halo/Halo 2 tournaments with like 4 Xbox consoles or so when you could link together with system link through LAN with ethernet cables, and do prize pools of money at the local paintball field or someone's home. The online gaming started exploding with Halo 2 and other games. But, I have to say, I remember those days where I pretended to be sick just to stay hone from school and play Gears of War, or couldn't wait to get out of school for it. Such good memories.

I first started playing video games on my older brother's Sega Genesis that took game cartridges and we would play sonic 2, street fighter, a couple different years of Madden NFL, mortal Kombat, 3 or 4 different years NBA live when MJ was on top, and I'm sure we had more but those are the games we played over and over again. Then I remember getting a Nintendo 64 that my younger brother and I had to share that our parents got us from a pawn shop. And we played several different games on there including Mario kart, Mario, 007, etc. I miss playing those games on those consoles and the controllers being super simple to use. Love your channels. My fave for years now

Oh and I would like to say that after Nintendo 64 I played on the first PlayStation played some of same games as on Sega and Nintendo 64 but also played crash bandicoot, resident evil, etc. And didn't game our own PlayStation 1 we'd play on cousins when we'd stay over at his house. And didn't own all the games we played we'd rent games from the local video store(was not a blockbuster, etc. and before Redbox was thought of) and internet didn't exist yet or was in the beginning of but we didn't have a computer or Internet until I was in high school so either 2004 or 2005. But even when we got it it was dial up so connecting was horrible, time consuming and 3/4 of time wouldn't connect . I grew up in the country, outside of a small town with population of 2,700. After the 1st PlayStation controllers( in particular the joysticks) became too difficult for me to care to learn or get used to lol. But I also was a single working mother at that time so didn't have a lot of free time to practice and honestly if I could get any free time I would sleep lol.

Get some snacks and chill water, like Red Bull maybe, and then show us your skills at “Bubble Bobble.” Then your 4 opponents can show off their skills. I'm too old to remember exactly what my first ever game was (it was probably something on my friend's VIC-20) but my formative years playing were spent on the Commodore 64. (I occasionally install an emulator just to relive the C64-version of Pirates! again…) These days my top three games of all time would be Skyrim, XCOM, and XCOM2. (Modern XCOM. I _did_ play the original X-COM/UFO-series but they were so brutally unfair that I never became really obsessed. (Anyone who has played original XCOM knows the felling of taking one step out of the Skyranger and instantly getting overwatch killed!) The remake Xenonauts accurately recreates the difficulty of the 1990s games.

To this day, nothing has ever beat out Super Metroid for me. Everything about it is made so perfectly, from the perfect movement and response of the controller, to the sights and sounds of it all. Though I love so many games, Super Metroid is one I've always gone back to so I can beat it over and over again. The water level, Maridia, is my favorite, I love all the graphics/art style there and the music throughout that level. So for me, top 3: 1. Super Metroid 2. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night I have to add one bonus like they did. For the experience of this co-op game, it was one of the best times in gaming I ever had with one of my best friends I made through gaming online wih him. That game is Outward. We played the original, we both loved challenging games, and I'm a huge Dark Souls fan, so when I saw something that looked similar with combat, co-op, and great rpg elements/adventure, I had to try it. The difficulty was insane, the random events we had no clue would take place, like being imprisoned and it setting us back, and all the other challenging aspects like surviving in the cold, dark, winter nights, all while exploring a massive and beautiful multi biome open world was just phenomenal and breath taking at times. Put all of that together with an awesome friend, and it made for some amazingly memorable times for us, to the point we still talk about it to this day when we chat online. If you like a great challenge and want to try something with a friend that will create some great memories and test/strengthen friendships in gaming, try Outward. I'm sure that the newer edition makes it even better, though I was never able to play it, as I moved to Africa almost 3 years ago, and I no longer get to game online like I used to. I love that even though it's a small channel and old content from us, he still has our vidoes from our CoD days with our team. GG bro @alienbrain1504 Great times man.
