What is MOST astounding, is that the producer's artist depicts Vivaldi as being a left-handed violinist? Can you investigate where that information originated ? And remember, no matter how beautiful your violin melody might be, it can never be considered to be a concerto, unless you're Italian?? The Seasons for Children FredGold&LyndaFaye.

I love this series! The animation is amazing! I'm glad Vivaldi was born in late 17th century where the weather was still consistent. If composed today, the piece would end with the rise of the ocean level flooding Venice entirely and the Earth burning due to climate change. Here where I live I experienced the four seasons in just one week.

Vivaldi was not the only Italian composer from his time (the Baroque). Others include Arcangelo Corelli, Giusppe Torelli, Francesco Onofrio Manfredini, Piero Antonio Locatelli, Gaetano Maria Schiassi, Lorenzo Gaetano Zavateri, Giusppe Sammartini, and The Scarlattis (Allessandro & Domenico), all of whom wrote Christmas Pastorales.

Played that once (my then girlfriend's violin teacher arranged for a concert with friends, students, ex-students, and herself as solo violin). For Halloween there is his Toccata and Fugue in D Minor and Orchestral Suite no. 2 in B Minor. And as for Easter, there is the St. Mathew Passion.

Another giant during Vivaldi's time was George Firderic Handel. He would write the iconic Easter and Christmas Crossover Oratorio- Messiah (featuring For Unto Us a Child is Born, Pifa, & Hallelujah), For Earth Day- The Cuckoo and the Nightingale, for Christmas Largo from Serse (Thanks to Braodcast from 1905) and Arrival of the Queen of Sheba from Solomon (considering the same base line as Pachelbel's Canon). More general works include Zadok the Priest, The Water Music, and Music for the Royal Fireworks.
