Paul was a Liar. He even says in Romans 3:7 that he lies for God, and in 1 Corinthians 9:20-22 admits to pretending to be what he is not in order to get people to follow him. And this is the man you follow?

Taking things out of context is common, as you have done. Rather than look for things that you don’t understand and quickly reporting them as something they are not, slow down and be wise, study and understand. Paul’s point was that he is not perfect, we all are sinners, if his sins promote Jesus he is not ashamed. There is so much that is without question and easy to understand, don’t let a few parts that are hard to understand keep you from eternal life with God- AND the opportunity to bring others with you.

The book of Acts is not historical, although there are historical elements in it; just as there are in lots of other works of fiction. The author(s) of Acts contradict Paul's own letters (only seven of which are likely to be authentically Pauline, and which themselves appear to be patchworks of shorter correspondences), so cannot be considered as being reliable. Although up to 10% of 1st Century Romans may have been Jewish, 'Christianity' was not well known across the Roman world at that time: why else would Pliny the Younger ask about it, having never encountered Christians before (or heard about the sect from his father)? Why would Paul, an itinerant preacher from an obscure sect of Judaism in the backwaters of the Roman Empire, be afforded such status by the Romans? How was a tent maker able to pay for rented accommodation in Rome, for two years, according to Acts? Indeed, Acts leaves so many questions unanswered!
