Wasn't expecting so much of this video to be related to the Brunel's! It's all the more better for it. A great dive into the pre-history of London's underground.

the Thames is actually one of the cleanest rivers, actually now is the cleanest river in the world to go through a major city. it might not look like it due to sediment but in the 50's it was biologically dead , now it's teaming with life, it even has Sharks and 125 species of fish.

The London Underground, first underground railway operating from 1863 but with cut and cover method. First true deep level bored tube from 1890. London Transport operated from 1933 stopped using steam from 1961. Last steam locos ran for British Rail 1968, last for LT 1971 for depot duties. Last completely new line is Victoria line.

Very unfortunate fashion choices for AHD to go for that specs, beard and shirt combo. He looks like he's cosplaying as Rolf Harris. Probably felt his dayglo shell suit and cycling helmet made him look a bit sus but should have stuck to his guns.

Like everything in London I should imagine. By hardworking under paid and exploited workers normally from anywhere in the world but London and eye watering sums of money at the expense of the rest of the country. There mystery solved

First part is correct Nigel. The bit about the rest of the country is nonsense, if that was the case we could blame the North for giving the UK the worst government in history in the expectation of dividing the uk with the worst kind of self inflicted harm possible.
@rumpelstiltskin9729 Жыл бұрын
@@stephenjon3502he’s not completely wrong, a lot of people feel we have a London-centric government that spends more on London and surrounding areas than it does the rest of the country. Especially with all the austerity and cuts rubbish
