How We "Accidentally" Got Rid Of Poison Ivy

Poison Ivy has tormented us since day 1 on our farm. We've tried all sorts of methods to "eliminate" it and no matter what....it comes back!! After 4+ years, we'll show you how we finally got rid of poison ivy!
This is definitely a bit different than the conventional sprays or homemade concoctions that tend not to work. We have once again benefitted from our animals doing our work for us and we'll show you the results today!

Hey Bud, Maine here. Great video, my farm is more plagued with poison oak. We use our goats, there stomachs have no problem digesting it and they keep at it every time it buds up. As a Jewish owned farm we can't use pigs for obvious religious reasons so, goats are what we got. As always health and happiness.

Goats would be a great option as well! My only concern would be that they aren’t eliminating the roots but I would imagine as long as they keep hitting the new growth it’ll wear out the plant. Our sheep like it as well. Thanks as always for following along!

Humm, I may need to move our pig around a bit more to root our our poison ivy. Like you, I seem to get it just by looking at it. Thanks for sharing.

Would definitely recommend if you can do it! I stumbled upon this by accident but once I realized it I searched the entire pasture and only found a very little bit. Curious to see how long it stays clear but would imagine as long as I continue to rotate animals through it should stay clean.

Never tried it. I usually don’t do anything unless it’s all over. I read that jewelweed helps so may try that next time
