Trip Advisor Review; * Star: My wife, her boyfriend and I booked the Premium Suite at the Kyro Grande for three nights over the spring bank holiday. We had heard the fishing and nature surrounding the hotel was world class. Unfortunately it was not, and the hotel was even worse. Where to begin? Firstly, the receptionist, not only had terrible personal hygiene but was quite rude, demanding payment upfront over and over almost immediately as we set foot inside the lobby. We had travelled a long way and were tired, hungry and thirsty. I cannot believe a hotel in 2023 only accepts cash payments. Incredible. What was more shocking is that later we learnt the rude hotel receptionist was the manager!!! Unbelievable. His decorum was more like that of a bob the builder than that of an outstanding hotelier. After being shown our room it was quite obvious why the manager smelt like he had not taken a shower in 15 years, because there were no showers in this hotel?!! Not even a toilet. We had to resort to shitting inside a rusty metal gun cabinet haphazardly placed at the rear of the room. This in fact was the only furnature in the entire place. Rough!!! THERE WERE NO BEDS?! IN A HOTEL?!? After unpacking we went back down to the lobby to see if we could get some food from the hotel restaurant. Shocked, when we found out the kitchen was closed. Closed because it had never in fact opened. There was no restaurant or any food offered despite the nearest town being several KM away. The rude manager instead offered us complimentary fishing rods and told us to fish for our supper. My wife was so upset at this point she took her boyfriend back up to the room. They were in there for several hours. During this time I went out onto the communal patio overlooking the polluted toxic lake where I met several other guests who were staying at the hotel. They too had travelled a long way to be here but did not seem so concerned about shitting in the rusty gun racks in their rooms as they said it reminded them of home?! Who are these people?! One of them was wearing no pants and his shirt pockets were filled with nothing but sharpening stones and a pokemon card. Psycho!!!! I felt like this was more of a mental asylum than a hotel! I cannot recommend this hotel at all. DO NOT STAY AT KYRO GRANDE!!!!! If it were possible to post zero stars I would. Also, the decor of that place reminds me of some shitty retro computer game from 2013. AVOID!!!!!111!
