Guess there are some seismic consideration in that region but there is a lot easier way to achieve this level of a foundation. Maybe there is no concrete plant in the region with means of delivery? What if there is a leak in the tank, soil will erode and potentially cause the floor to crack which will allow sewer gasses to escape into the living space?

The materials, technique and skills of workers is 1st class despite having little qualification but what confuses me the most is the fortress like overbuilding of foundations even on a tiny house on rock solid bedrock with zero seismic activity. The foundation is the most important part of every single construction project but it is also the most expensive part of the build (up to 50% of the build cost) and everyone spends only as much money-material needed to pass this requirement but in Vietnam it’s an over kill. Perhaps steel, sand, cement, bricks, wood ands labor cost is extremely cheap? Only if they build like this in the USA ❤

ME ENCANTARIA QUE LOS ALBAÑILES MEXICANOS TUVIERAN ESE NIVEL DE CONCIENCIA DE HACER SU TRABAJO EXCELENTEMENTE BIEN COMO LOS ALBAÑILES DE ESTE VIDEO
@josesegura52278 ай бұрын

@@josesegura5227 ESO ES LO QUE YO DIJE EL CAMBIO DE CONCIENCIA PORQUE LOS ALBAÑILES TE COBRAN COMO UN ARQUITECTO PERO LA GRAN MAYORIA TE HACEN TRABAJOS DE CHALAN

@octluna5076 Respeto comentario. Indudablemente tienes razon .

It could be cheaper. You use steel bar on the foundation in the middle of the beam. It has no structural function in this position. It is only an additional burden for the foundation. There is no compression function and no traction function on these intermediate bars. Your team seems to be just curious builders because that constitutes a basic mistake

1) huge wealth of rebar-is that a high-seismic area? 2) purpose of all that labor to build the squares underneath? 3) are all those people donating labor on family house, to make it “cheap”?? 4) And….WHY/HOW can they get away with burying what looks like a 3-chamber gravity septic tank, not just under the foundations/floors, but, no way to access it to pump-out or inspect? I’d like to see just how those work…& for how long?…& under what conditions of use??

The first pour I was like "woa, that is a really thin and unreinforced footing they are putting down!" Then they brought out the rebar for the real footing. So the first pour was just like a mud slab or rat slab to give a neater surface to work on? Interesting. Why not just lay out the rebar over the compacted dirt? I can see maybe if it is very rainy, and it is taking several days to assemble all that rebar, it is a precaution against the ground turning into a slop fest. But that's all I can think of as a reason.

its actually bonded with the reinforced concrete layer that goes over the first one, as to form a thick slab
