Only the the privileged kids from Upper class modern families(delhi, mumbai) discuss their dating lives and have these kind of conversations at home. Most of middle class couples date in secret. They keep their relationship hidden from their parents under the tag of 'Just Friend's. Words like dating, boyfriend, girlfriend, etc are taboo.

One of my friend got beatings from his dad just for uttering the 'girlfriend' word. His dad hit him with belts, shoes and chappals and told him that if he dared to fall in love he would be disowned and kicked out of the house. His dad is super Orthodox 😞😞😞 Edit: Thank God My dad is cool btw but I cannot the situation of my friends with hitler dads. :(
