How We Feed Our Beef Cattle During Winter

This video is about how we feed our cattle in winter. I have a full time off the farm job so I need to be able to feed the livestock with limited time. For our cattle, we provide enough hay and protein blocks on the weekend to last through the week. While the weather can be bad during feeding, it is one of my favorite times.

Lol..I did notice the open gate.....I think cows can smell open gates👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

They can! But usually they come right back in to me. The animal that can spot an open gate anywhere on the farm is the llama (and she never wants back in)!

What are cheaper alternatives to protein blocks

Usually buying 20% or 40% cubes will provide a cheaper cost per pound of protein than protein blocks.
