Totally agree with you 100% on trying to save a customer money You get no thanks at the end of the day and yeah probably come back on you and then you lose money 😢 Keep them coming 👍

Served my time with LUCAS SERVICE in the late 70,s early 80,s and spent most of my time cleaning and undercutting commutators on starters/ dynamos , sadly it's now a throw away world and you can't get the parts to recon things like this . . !

I rebuilt the starter for our old Astra, Got replacement brushes on a well known auction site. I don't blame garages for not doing it. Replacement units can be cheaper than the cost of labour and parts for rebuilding.

@@rmsdiagnosticsThe usual Autodata just about everywhere i have worked , the last place started using Haynes e3 think they got a cheaper deal , the wiper motor on your diagram was what i was refering to ,as usual no acurate internal information ,

nice to see your showing the boy not that it’s just cattle trucked but why and how it works excellent job . i don’t see that anywhere near what i should at work they are far more interested in firing the parts cannon and on to the next job . when you try to explain why its failed they look at you with a blank expression and you get “ yeh yeh nice one “ 🤣🤣🤣🤣 it then i am 58 and remember when you had to fix stuff 🤪🤪🤪

hi mate,sorry I missed the result but it was down to a faulty new sensor.we fitted a genuine sensor and was perfect,we have gone more to showing a few bigger jobs than chatting about all the little bits we do day to day. not sure what people prefer 🙈
