In this video, we show how we smartly and efficiently arrange drinking water for our Highland cattle and pasture-raised chickens out in the pastures. We use 16 mm PEM tubing, Blue Line fittings, and frost-resistant ball valves for the fixed network of water hoses that remain outside year-round.
With the help of various taps in the pastures, we can easily connect both water troughs with floats and our egg mobile, where we have a low-pressure system with water cups inside the wagon. The movable hoses we connect are from Biltema's series for slightly more durable use. The hose has an inner core that makes it resistant to both sun and cold.
See how everything is connected so that we ensure all the animals always have access to fresh water.
