How we install a CAT NET, INSECT NETS and assamble the SCRATCHING POST. Ep.14

Today we show how we install a cat net on the balcony so that our cats cannot fall down or run away. Then we assemble the scratching post and show how our babies use it for the first time. Last but not least, we attached insect nets to the balcony door and the windows.

Very nice video your cats are beautiful and cute please keep your eyes on them when they outside at balcony not sure how strong this net for cat like we knew cats like to jump and climb they curious with life and yes, they are naughty. Great job. And the kitties absolutely love the tree. We have two kittens too. We bought a very similar cat tree - kittens are crazy about it. We also bought almost identical magnetic screen for the back door like what you have on your patio doors. Our kittens have it shredded. They like to do acrobatics on it. Definitely not made for cats. Also, very soon after installing it the magnets started falling off in places. I've just bought fibreglass mesh and gonna make a screen door out of that. Hoping it fares better than the other. Might hang the old one outside and let them do their acrobatics there!

Great idea. Did it last? My cat would tear down the netting. Chicken wire would be needed to be truly cat safe. Love the concept.

Thank you. The net goes from the railing to the ceiling. The PVC pipes are threaded with the net in serpentine lines and fastened to the railing with cable ties.

They are to cute Please always keep an eye on them when they are outside at the balcony. You cant trust cats or net. They are curouis and maybe will climb and a accident can happend. But im shore you already know that and you keep good care of your lovley kittens 😻

Actually you can trust the net if you do it the right way. Only steel net on a steel cable will make a balcony "cats proof". If you have one, not super active cat and you pay attention while the cat is on the balcony then it's fine with pcv net, but if you have bunch of cats, expecially kittens only STEEL NETS 👍 For cats safety and your own comfort ;)

We bought the net from Amazon and the rest from the hardware store. The pvc pipes are usually for electrical wiring. Thanks for your feedback.

I had the same mosquito nets on all my windows, meanwhile only one is still ok, all others got cut open by my cats. As your flat is high up, please, please never leave the kitties alone when the window is open in order to prevent them falling down.
