What about when you want to come down but the cat is lay right under the lift...does it get squished?

Nope, I just saw in a different video, these lifts come with a sensor that that automatically prevents the elevator from moving when something is either beneath or above it. It'll light up instead so to let you know what's going on. So your cat could leave you stuck up there if it falls asleep beneath the elevator

how much do it cost to have one installed please I do not need to know how it works I plan on retiring next year and most of the homes I am looking to purchase have stairs. I just need to know around the generally ball park to have one installed so I can know how much to add to my budget

In my opinion if they don't reply to the questions potential customers have here on you-tube....then they are shady and probably couldn't stay in business long enough to be available for maintenance.
