Just because something works in one format doesn’t mean it will translate easily to another. I think they have found the proper format, 5-7 minute comedy sketches. Anything longer and you need to worry about character and plot. Current format you don’t need an arc for anyone, and you can really riff on a joke well. It’s the Monty Python dilemma. Show is great, movies can be hit and miss. When it works it works, but translation between mediums is hard.

To everyone asking for a full campaign, I don't think you realize the difficulty in that. There would most likely be such lulls between the interactions and actions of the party that people have come to expect, that the pacing would be erratic, at best. Memorable, unforced moments are relatively rare in a campaign, unless it's specifically designed to be wacky (or Tomb of Horrors). VLDL gets around this by having a longer format, and having the IRL section as the majority of the video, with snippets of in-game stuff. TL;DR is, I'd bet the people wanting a campaign play-through would quickly complain that it's not like their skits.
