a tip if your using the lawn tractor on a big lawn, you can take off the protection thingy from the cutting unit. Prevents clumps of grass in lawn.

From a fellow lawn Guy: Great job fellas, you're earning your dollars. Remember a few things going forward so you can make even more money: First, calculate your maintenance cost (what it cost to repair and operate the lawn equipment, you can include fuel in this too) Second, set aside your earnings and divide them in the following ways A. If you two plan on doing this throughout you high-school and maybe a bit beyond reinvest into the business. You can buy better equipment that cost less to operate and gets things done even faster. (Research before you buy!) B. Invest in your future. You can do this in two ways. If you're college or tech school bound stash some money in a fund that will mature over the next four years. The disadvantage you can't touch that money for four years. The advantage, the money grows without any additional work on your part. If you're not sure if college or tech school is in your future put some of that cash in a Roth 401K you cant touch the money till much later but it will be much larger than what you put in now. Again, great job!

I'm autistic and I do landscaping with a subcompact garden tractor but I have a SMV sign and 4 way flashers as it's required for it because it's a tractor no matter how big it is look up road requirements for farm equipment in your state and go by that

That is a Great idea! The only problem that we have with that is it would require us to buy the extra equipment (with money we don't have). So we are trying to stick to our niche in lawn care to make the most of the equipment we already have. Thank you for your great advice...we will consider doing this farther down the road:)

Great Job! But think, dont share the money like that. First take the money out, what you use for gas and other things. Then put some money in a extra pocket for the case, something goes broken or you guys need some new equipment. If you do so, you are safe. Try to handle it, like you are businessmen. It all depends on what others are charging in your area and the quality of work that we are doing. We charge between 20 and 25 for front lawns depending on the size!

I don’t mean to be rude but don’t stand out in customers yards counting money. Battery powered equipment will lighten ur load so u can travel lighter but make sure you have enough battery power and carry back up batteries depending on how many yards yall have. The yards look great. You can get done faster if you have two string trimmers. But don’t get an extra if u don’t need it.
