Just found you today, go figure. My wife and I met almost 7.5 years ago. Met in St. Louis, MO at a meet n greet for an Otalia (google it) get together. Love at first sight. We got married a year later and we now live in Ohio. My 2 daughters, 25, and 14, from a previous marriage love us together and they love Susan. Willow, you remind me of myself in a lot of ways. I find it so easy to dwell on the negative aspects and jump to conclusions about people - not because that's how I really am, but because I have literally been through so much pain and disappointment throughout the years, and members of my family are quite judgemental and negative so it's just a habit that's been passed down to me unwillingly - I am also quite hyper, more hyper than my LDR partner, and I wear my heart on my sleeve and get super sensitive (but luckily me and my partner are on the same wavelength so I'm not the only one and we hold each other up). So annnyway, I just wanted to say that I've just started watching your videos on KZbin and they are a comfort to me because just the hyper-activity and yearning to be with your girlfriend... it's how I feel, my emotions get so intense sometimes and me and my girlfriend, we DO have a good communication system going so I don't bottle my emotions up too much with her but they do spill over quite frequently (because of how heavy they are) and I do overthink things and start convincing myself of the NEGATIVE. I've never been in an LDR quite to this extent before. I was sort of in one for a couple of years (before I came out) and it was with a guy; I was very good at detaching with him and I let him go in the end because he wasn't being clear on what he wanted and kept asking to meet up then not bothering last minute... so weird. And YEAH, skip forward, I'm in mega love now and it's taken a long time to get to this point where I've found someone I am mad passionate about... but there's a catch: we haven't met yet, just circumstances keep getting in the way, and I just am angry/frustrated/impatient with the universe for making this so hard for us. The good news is I have come to a decision to be patient and have faith and wait, because we are on the same wavelength and my girlfriend is clear on what she wants with me. I am starting to understand just how tough long-distance can be, and it's not abnormal for it to be either. A lot of people put so much pressure on relationships to be clear and simple - they CAN be on an emotional level, but on a practical level it can get just so uncontrollably complicated. So it's taken a lot of soul-searching for me to get over this habit of dwelling on the negative and just let things be how they are and give myself permission to love my partner no matter what circumstances are blocking us from being together. In the meantime, while I wait patiently, your channel is a great source of comfort for me, knowing that there is a person like me in personality going through something very similar to what I'm going through. Oh you two, tears, I'm so glad Allison was like hell no and put u in your place. I'm a very positive person but when someone hurts me or shoots me down, I'm so good at moving on and being like "Nope, not gonna let myself get hurt," You two Ahh makes my heart warm the way you look at one another while your talking. And this is in every video, you can see the little hearts shoot back and fourth. I hope Allison feels better, got a lot of remedies for throat stuff, ginger is one of them.
