How many cows do you milk and do you have any jerseys or just Holsteins I milk 400 jerseys in CT in a 50 stall delaval rotary parlor where is your farm located I have registered cows are yours or are they grades

@@oliverfamilyfarmlife are you planning on bottling your milk or making cheese I've just started bottling my own milk and making cheese your new parlor are you going to have a pipeline or are you just going to use bucket milkers

@@robert8451 right now I make cheese and we drink our milk, as well as extended family. I plan on selling cheese in the future but right now we are waiting for our parlor setup to be finished. We use a pipeline setup.

@@oliverfamilyfarmlife I'm surprised you don't milk jerseys only because they have a higher BF content than Holsteins but you may not like jerseys just like I don't like Holsteins we've had registered jerseys since 1930 on are farm I make cheddar Swiss Gouda and feta cheese as well as bottled milk I also sell raw milk as well can you sell raw milk

@@robert8451 lol...yah we are not fans of Jerseys. My husband and I both grew up with Holsteins. We go to cow shows and try to only keep a small herd of milk cows. A Jersey would make sense to have especially for cheese and butter. I love to hear of other people dairy ventures. Love the cheeses you make!
