We open our coconuts husks slower but safer with a metal stand that has a much less sharper fixed 1 cm wide carpenters chisel plus another one next to it with a 25 cm steel lever on it that pivots ~10 cm below. Kind of a steel U when closed and a V when opened. Needs a bit of welding but worth it, as anyone can now open coconut husks.

Yummmm that root vegetable is my favorite one when I was younger I used to call it the purple one 😂 but here in Puerto Rico they call it malanga. Soo delicious and creamy 😋
