i am sitting here crying watching this!! thank you Lord for this beautiful culture and dance and song! i learned this song and a dance to it when i was on my DTS in Australia, from a very wonderful Samoan woman. i know this is Hawaiian, but Polynesian culture is something i’ve always thought was so beautiful! i want to relearn the dance and worship God with my body 🏝🤍🤍🤍🤍🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

The hymn at the end is the traditional "Doxology" we even sing in English. It is testament to a lost heritage in Hawaii. Before they were a territory and later a state, they were a CHRISTIAN Kingdom American control stole that history. The Doxology is sung regularly at large gatherings even by Hawaiians who may not understand that as part of their past.
