I know this is stupid, but for anyone wondering the reason why Becky G uses salt is because salt is a base (the opposite of an acid on the pH level) and Lemons are known for their high acidity so it works to level out the pH level in your mouth. That's why people eat salt with pineapples or their taste buds can go numb.
