I live in the northern part of NC and I go to Virginia a lot and I can confirm there is nothing there. The only nice thing there is a camp site I went to but it was still pretty basic. Virginia is very pretty though

And while the Jaws novel is set on a fictional island on Long Island's South Shore, the inspiration for Jaws was actually a series of bull shark attacks back in 1916 along the Jersey Shore. In Matawan where one of the attacks took place, there is a Jaws-style mural on a railroad trestle that is right across from the bridge where it happened. And for those wondering why Martha's Vineyard is called Martha's Vineyard, British explorer Bartholomew Gosnold named the place after his infant daughter as well as the wild grapes he found growing on the island.
