It is not an indian style to praise the one who was a deputed person for enquisition in the world, for which by the same rules were framed. We goan never ever protected the wrong, we might have come to know late, still we have to refrain ourselves from defending the wrong deeds. And here the proofs are placed in front of media. And not challenged but requested to think again. We indians don't put our views forcibly on others, mostly majority, who suffered because of the plans of the same person. Saint Francis Xavier was deputed for Inquisition in Goa? Who told you this? WhatsApp or FB post?. You know the meaning of Inquisition atleast? Inquisition in latin means "to Inquire". It was implemented on the newly converts who were reverting back because of their superstitious beliefs like human sacrifice etc. You May be Talking about the Letter SFX wrote to King John III dated 16 may 1546. Fyi, the Letter which this mention is recorded is in fact written from Aboyna, Malacaus. And he referred to it as India. Amboyna Malacaus is modern day Ambona island of Maluku island of Indonesia. The Letter referred that place as territory not State and Indonesia back then was a Portuguese colonised area and our Goa was the capital of it.

Before goa enquisition was practiced in spain n portugal against jews, in written history later it was systematically tried to justify his deeds, and now it is becoming your prestig issue. What was fone before his arrival, than his way of doing, were he involved forces, and inspite when he realizes his afforts are falling short he suggested enquisition in goa, after 3yrs he dies than later after 9 years same enquisition is imposed. Enquisition is enquiry about others, natives, faith and than actions to change the same. Plz go through Wikipedia many more facts are posted their.
