I think it's going to work very very well. I mean his literal first start was against that Iowa team that supposedly had one of the best defenses ever. He had what 3 rushing and 1 passing td? Now imagine him with a stacked WR room. He's going to be special. We may not win a title (either SEC or national) but he's got the best chance since 98. I'd say if they play to their potential as a team they will be very good this year.

Most importantly for Bru is to get functionally healthy. The NFL has tape on Bru. We don't need or want to rush him back too fast. He can show off his talent just as well in the last 6 games as he can with all of them. We have enough guys to take our time with Bru.

Vols have a chance to have a special season. I think Nico fits the offense a lot like Hendon Hooker did. Both are pinpoint precision passers. Both have the ability to escape the pocket and make plays. Nico, maybe even more because Hooker scrambled and then ran to pick up yardage. Nico, I think, looks like he will scramble and still be able to pass on the move. The defense is going to be much deeper and more athletic. I think the Vols will be favored in all but 3 games and 2 of those 3 they will only be slight dogs. With that in mind with the offensive improvement and the depth on defense, I'm predicting that the Vols finish 10 and 2 and make the college football playoff at a number 10 seed. If they do win another one of those tough games, they could be a number 4 seed. Looking forward to see what happens on Rocky Top this year! Thanks JD for the breakdown.

@@bigal8893 I don't remember anyone saying Joe was even going to be a Heisman finalist but he is making Drake Maye look silly in the Pat's training camp. lol NIco has excellent vertical game that should be on display from game one. Last season too many bubble screens to the sideline was failure on the coaching staff. Joe could and did eventually go vertical in the first half of the Alabama game and it was the largest lead anyone's had on Saban at the half in Tuscaloosa. And forced some all hands on deck for some home cookin from the refs.. Some other games they turned him loose and he did well.

If Tennessee gets a fair shake, they most definitely are making the playoffs. HOWEVER… Tennessee just embarrassed the crap out of the NCAA! Those insecure, power hungry nerds at the NCAA don’t like being embarrassed. Look for them to unleash their little minions in zebra outfits on Tennessee to “get them back” this year. Y’all are about to see some of the worst officiating you’ve ever seen in the “important” Tennessee games. Holding on Tennessee every other play… PI if our DB’s even LOOK at WR’s. So, considering the officiating factor, I have Tennessee going 8-4. Otherwise, they would’ve gone 10-2, POSSIBLY even 11-1. But the NCAA won’t let that happen.

I want to get on board with the hype this year, but the Vols are not going to the CFP. The SEC is going to get 4 teams in the CFP...maybe 5 in a dream scenario. That means Alabama, Georgia, Texas, and likely Ole Miss. UT is fighting for a dream 5th spot with several other teams like Missouri, LSU, and Oklahoma. It's not likely to happen unfortunately.
