Children are such a gift and such great motivators! I’m almost a month sober because of my kids. I won’t go into details but I had an incident where thankfully nobody was hurt but really made me realize how out of hand my drinking habit had gotten and I had to take a really hard look at myself and the kind of person I wanted to be for my two kids. ❤ I also didn’t realize what a toll it was taking on me mentally and physically until I stopped. I’m so thankful and excited to be starting this new chapter.

I’ve been watching you since 2014 and I have always so related to any comments you previously made about not enjoying exercise and such. But your fitness journey and efforts to be strong for Lucy and Robin has definitely been shifting my perspective. My husband and I hope to start a family in a couple of years and I want to be strong and live a long and healthy life for my future children. I really want to start exercising but am so intimidated by it and where to start. We live in a small condo so I will need to get creative, but you truly inspire me to take the plunge. Thank you, as always, Leighann!

Love this. I've been on a weight loss/health journey for about 4 years. And I've learned that lifting weights burns more calories than running on a treadmill. And also more muscle mass burns more calories at rest. And I try to eat at least 90g of protein a day. Love what you are doing. Keep it up

Leighann I pray you see my comment. But you need to take sweet Lucy to Morgan’s Wonderland in San Antone. I just took my kids this past weekend and I was almost in tears seeing how accommodating they are to individuals with disabilities and mobility limitations. There’s not a lot of shade so idk if it’s ideal to take her now. But maybe when it gets cooler. HIGHLY Recommend 💙

I started working out in my early 20’s (about 8yrs ago) with the goal of gaining muscle. What I didn’t expect was how closely intertwined my mood/ mental state was with my activity level. Plus, it BLEW my mind that I could “sculpt” myself into a different shape by strength training and feeding my body correctly. Like you said, there are so many benefits. I could write a novel here about gym vs. home, types of workouts, how to get over the anxiety of getting started, and so on. But I’ll stop here 😂 (totally open to sharing more if anyone is interested, I could talk about this subject for days) Leighann, I seriously loved hearing your perspective on working out and the reasons behind this journey!! I gave this video a thumbs up the second you told the new mama to sleep. If that woman or any new mom is reading this, IT’S OKAY. I know you’re tired. I know your house is a disaster. I've just started trying to workout and ride my indoor bike. Before I've never stuck with it but I'm really trying to get into it. Just to be more fit and healthier. I used to be like 125 but had no muscle really. Everyone kept saying I was to skinny so gained some weight and I wish like you said that I would have just realized to prioritize weight lifting and gained size in muscle and not gain weight. I do agree that when your in a good weight for your body type and fit you do feel better about yourself. I totally get what you mean about being solid 😂 I feel like a jiggly jello too 😂❤
