ICC was singing this tune since about 10 years ago. Which was also evident from the aspects like decreasing numbers of spectators, viewership and interest of cricketers in Test cricket. Everyone wanted something new, something good. Then! ICC, which has been sitting on this pressure cooker for many years, came up with a new trick from its box. This hope to save Test cricket was named Test Championship. This idea was definitely new. But was it good or not? Today's video is made on this. The Test Championship, which started in 2019, has now completed 5 years and just a few days ago, ICC has also announced the venue of its third final. In simple words, if the World Test Championship was an experiment, then the time for the sample size of its trial results has expired. Now you will ask what was the result? In response to which we will say that the initiative was good but the habit of ICC has changed the WTC from World Test Championship to World Test Comedy. Why are we saying this? What is its base? All these are the reasons for the failure of the World Test Championship. Yes! According to us, the World Test Championship is a failure. It was started to benefit Test cricket. ICC should extend the number of teams for WTC. Now, there will be a clear experience gap between high-ranking teams and low-ranking teams. ICC can have multiple divisions to counter that. In Division 1, the top 6 test ranking teams will be grouped. In Division 2, the next 6 teams will be grouped, and so on. For example, as per current international test rankings, teams like Australia, India, England, South Africa, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka will be grouped in division 1, and teams like Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh, Ireland, Zimbabwe, and Afghanistan will be grouped in division 2. The next 6 teams can be grouped according to ODI rankings. For example, Scotland, Netherlands, Namibia, Nepal, Oman, and the USA will be grouped in division 3. This way, more teams will be able to participate in WTC than 9 teams. On each WTC cycle, teams will play with each other but only in their group. As usual, at the end of the cycle, the top 2 teams from division 1 will compete for the title of World Test Champions. Also, at the end of the cycle, the first team at all divisions will be promoted to a level above except for division 1, and the last team from all divisions will be demoted to a division below except for last division.

How is 3 finals possible. In that WTC final should take place once in 4 years. If we add wesker teams, viewership will decrease. It will add pressure on cricket calender to. Especially England, they have very stipulated calender. How they will fit more matches. To play against every team they to stop 5 match series with India and Australia. @@soumyadeepmukherjee8878 nahi ho jaayega, if matches are played simultaneously, first round 4 days ka hona chahiye let me explain Dekho 12 teams hai toh 3 group banao, har group mai chaar teams, har group mai six matches honge Toh total 18 matches, ek time mai six matches of four days fir 4 din mai pehela slot khatam, 3 din ke gap ke baad fir ek time mai six matches. Isse pehela round 18 dino mai khatam hoga Fir 3 din ke baad knock out matches jo proper 5 days ka hoga, aur draw hone par super over, quarter final tak ho jaayenge 26 days abb knock out matches ke beech 4 days ka gap hone chahiye, fir semi final tak 35 days honge fir 4 days ke gap ke baad final, then whole tournament will be over in 44 days. Itne hi dino ka ODI WC bhi hota hai. Future mai agar 16 teams hoti hai ek time mai 8 matches hone chahiye.

**Suggestion**😊 [There should be a proper tournament in a particular country... hosting all teams in the same country and every team should play one match against another and then the table toppers should go into final ] and hosting rights should also be shifted to other countries in next cycles as well... **Result**🙃 (1). By this all the teams will get an idea of the pitches of that country and if they reach in the final , they can assess the conditions to some extent and will help other teams in final (2) Every team would get an equal number of matches and there would be more excitement for the tournament for a particular time period By using 2 years for a champion makes everyone feel bored 🥱

@@kphgg_840 yess but there could be two or three matches at a time and if they are serious to save test cricket then 2 or three months is not an issue If the tournament is shrinked from 2 years into two months, then what is bad in it.
