What Russia doing is sporadic shelling of designated targets. If there was an all out war they could level Ukrainian cities and shoot everyone approaching their vehicles.

The reason for that is because they didn't take the Air Superiority beforehand as that would lead to massive civillian casualties. Russia is trying to avoid that, not so subtly as they will be charged with war crimes and inhumane methods. In any war, Air Superiority is the key in establishing the speedy movement of ground troops. People with no military experience are underestimating the Russian war machine... Its absolutely lethal and deadly. Hate it or love it. No one wants a full fledged war with Russia. Hence, no fly zone will never happen in Ukraine. A no fly zone isn't declared, its enforced. Meaning shooting down Russian planes and Russian anti air defense systems. That also means going into the Russian territories to destroy those. It will lead to a full fledged war which no one wants to risk... Its a shame that Ukraine will have to fight it alone. I also think that NATO made a fool of Ukraine. Hanging the carrot for too long in front of Ukraine and never making them a part of NATO was a mistake.

They will regroup and push further,they will not have enough to accomplish wartime goals and will lack ability to use resources gained in wartime efforts as well as poor use of domestic resources. Russia eventually makes further deals with Russia eventually s unable to pacify china's demands and eventually succumbs to be full scale civil war and a new bolscivec type revolution. America is in the midst of similar civil issues,though it does absorbed some of the Caribbean and mexico Eventually Russia and much of it's previous subsidiaries end as a conglomerate of independent states with free trade. Most of Europe returns to a similar state to retain a similar power structure.

Stagnance in it's economy and relative inflation make it difficult for Russia to be invested in. Also Russia's overwhelming independence on the black and secondary markets make it difficult to trust. This is problem it has as a purchaser of goods added to Russia not seeming to be trust worthy as they are because they commonly manipulate their own markets and currency values.Their common actions as a govt to wantonly act with little trust worthiness is also of note. Foreign banks will not do not trust their industry or government lol reading to foreign investors not having trust in much in anything Russian. Basically if you lie cheat and be steam eventually you will be regarded as a liar cheater and a thief. Adding to it's already bad reputation is it's inability to play asshole on a daily basis and see diplomacy as a weakness.

The EU is many different commands talking with different understandings and intentions. Russia can act more as one than the EU could leading to better tactical movements. The EU could hold on but the power of European nations militarily has been somewhat stripped.
