Seems like Talene is a well designed hero. Very strong all around character but doesn't excel at any particular content to make her irreplaceable like some of the other celestials/hypogeans. Would have been relegated to whale only territory if not for the fact that she actually performs well enough at lower tiers and is also meta for some of the dream realm bosses. Not sure about King Croaker though as Phraesto and Thoran already got the revives covered pretty much so it's only really for that 4th revive which in turn requires heavy investment or as a replacement to Phraesto/Thoran but than she's not really a main tank so I don't know how well she performs at the front line vs Croaker as she needs to be able to eat up all his other skills beyond just the insta kills... I still think Phraesto and Scarlita are a higher priority because they're much more specialized and irreplaceable. However I do like that Lilith shifted course slightly and made a celestial/hypogean character that's certainly strong and worthy, but isn't at all a must have. If it wasn't for Scarlita and Phraesto existing(and of course Reinier) than she would have been perfect, but they do exist...

I got her to m+ with no regrets using all my spared guild coins/stargazers and i will do her supreme for 2 reasons: 1) i simply love her and she's very unique; 2) the most important reason, long term run. She's already good now, even if correctly she doesn't excel in any category, but in the future anything can happen... new heroes that grants cc immunity to allies/power up themselves maybe based on when allies die, ecc... her full potential is still to be unlocked trust me :)

Talene might be busted for cristal beetle if it becomes a future boss,since AoE seems to do multiple instances of damage.

yeah but as long as she avoids getting stunned by the attacks of the beetles then shes very good. Additionally, shes a ranged attacker dont know if she will work , if shes the same with odie while beetle is dodging it might be lackluster. but who knows in dr it might change once it comes.

I feel like is a good thing I prefer to go all the way with scarlita instead of talene, I just did that due to the fact scarlita is the direct counter of talene

doesnt say much im top 10 on my server as F2P without talene 😅once ur at ranks that high only money gets u higher as everyone plays 5 star scarlita lol Scarlita is pretty much the PvP gatekeeper atm. thats why talene is kinda useless cause eiroon comp gets u to the top until enemys use scarlita

In case you did not know, even plebs can get in top 30. Top 10 is the real deal.

The top whale of my server is now using phraesto scarlita talene damien hewynn on defense and it is an unbreakable defense, so she has her purpose in pvpv but only for extreme whales. I bought into the hype and built her before Phraesto and regret it as my dream scores are suffering now because of it.

I think ulmus is better than granny for that wilder talene team. Also eiron instead of Arden if using Ulmus.

Not really. Ulmus is not as tank as granny. He usually fly to the backline. Granny is better to go with talene

@@vietamuc3691 he doesnt tank ulmus with eiroon is almost infinite cc u dont need to tank the enemy if they never get to play 🤣i use ulmus eiroon comp too and im top 10 arena as F2P on my server its as massive difference to granny she relies on tanking and taking dmg while ulmus just straight up prevents the enemy from doing dmg in the first place. Because he adds a CC to any other instance of cc he also works great with carolina, alsa or arden as they all benefit from the extra cc triggers

I was actually very hyped for talene cause everyone expected her to be broken and i had alot of summons saved up sadly she is a very easy skip her competition with phraesto, reinier and scarlita is absolutely insane as they all established as rock solid meta in their gamemodes and talene doesnt rly shine in any ... In PvP she is hopeless her ultimate gets canceled by any form of CC and current meta teams have way too much of that on attack u just put eiroon or scarlita vs her and she becomes a useless unit and if u try to attack with her it can work but only vs weaker teams of the enemy on server arena its pointless cause everyone plays eiroon comp and u auto lose. In Dream realm she has her moments but alot of heroes do and unlike other heroes talene requires u to field a consistent support like smokey or she cant rly deal dmg on top of that her self dmg is very scary if u still push cause it makes her more vulnerable then other heroes ... not bad but she wont work on all boss while other dps hero do. In PvE she definitly has her moments but most of the time for her to rly go crazy u need a very specific team to make sure she never goes down ... phraesto is kinda mandatory as the best tank by alot and smokey to keep her HP up at all times ... now here is the problem when u already need smokey and phraesto why even bother playing talene when these 2 can reliable push themselves already just buffing smokey with even more supports kinda is safer and easier for clearing then bringing a talene and sacrificing alot of potential buffs. She is good but her requiring another meta hypo/cele to rly go deep makes her alot worse for F2P.

@@gecgoodpasi1654 This comment is extremely misleading and simply false. Cc can be mitigated with the use of enlightening spell. Even without enlightening, her ult isn’t like every character in the game where it goes 100 to 0 energy. So when she is cc she can instantly start her ult back up. In terms of meta, when paired with Shakir she is dominating the scarlita stall teams. There’s rng on scarlita but to say scarlita makes it so she has no hope of winning is extremely false. In dream realm, Smokey is the most used support in every boss except necro. The fact that this comment says “requires you to field a consistent support like Smokey” shows lack of knowledge of all the bosses. She is currently topping the dps charts on 3 bosses, lone gaze, sky lops and king croaker. Pve pushing pharesto is still the bis tank. But past a certain stage there is literally no need to push. Getting to 1000 unlocks all of dura’s trial and 1300 gets you the last stargazer pop up pack. In addition, Smokey is the main carry in the pharesto team anyways. So somehow talene needing Smokey is a negative but pharesto needing Smokey is a positive? Secondly, pharesto is a tank. He’s a great tank. But his role is easily replaceable with units like granny who is a free unit. The deficit you push will be lower but to say he is irreplaceable is false. This isn’t a talene glaze, still believe it’s scarlita second. Just wanted to correct the blatant misinformation on here.

TLDR: Talene is comparable to thoran, Always worse than thoran in pvp , but more damage and less protection in pve. In my opinion a weaker thoran that needs the expensive stargazers to summon. Edit: I also don't understand why youtubers say she is powerful in pvp while talene gets countered by all the good pvp teams. For the rest of the ratings I agree but on pvp she is a solid 1,5-2 stars instead of 4. If the entire meta changes, meaning nerf to eironn scarlita arden carolina alsa Ulmus granny odie etc (not gonna happen) she will always be horrible, case in point take the wilder talene team , and just swap talene for carolina and the team is gonna perform better. VERY easy skip unless you push for top10 dreamrealm in your server.

@@KHe4rtl3ss its true in some points talene in top tier pvp is basicly completely useless cause CC is the current meta and any form of cc cancels talene ult immediately now i dont agree u could compare a mage to a tank cause base stats of units matter alot and tanks just have way more defense but talene definitly feels lackluster especially considering phraesto, reinier and scarlita are no brain super meta.

@@gecgoodpasi1654 My only question is whether I want to go for Scarlita or L+ Phraesto first. Either that, or saving for the next Celestial/Hypogean. As f2p I don't think I can afford spending my valuable resources on Talene, especially when, as Zeeebo said: she's master of none. The only way for me to compete with the top of the server is if I heavily invest in those strong heroes like Scarlita or Phraesto.
