I grew up in Florida hurricane territory. I learned to take a small plastic drink bottle and put just less than the amount of water to fill it to half way. Freeze it laying on it's side. Stand it up after freezing and if it thaws all the water will settle to the bottom if it stays thawed long enough. Even in a partial thaw some will settle. We now keep battery powered recording thermometers which will show the last high and low before resetting.

Always enjoy your videos Kevin, good experiment on why it says that fridge is only good for a heated space only, but in reality you would not be in your RV in temps under 60 degrees at least I wouldn't, my RV when in my Garage is fully powered down, and I do not use the RV fridge for extra freezer space.

Some people will put a extra refrigerator in a unheated garage not realizing they are putting there food items in the freezer at risk if the garage temperature fall below 50 or 55 degrees .
