How Wurmple Became One Of My Rarest Shiny Pokemon Encounters EVER.

Despite being a common Pokemon, Wurmple is involved in one of my rarest shiny encounters I've had in Pokemon Legends Arceus. Here's my journey to finding (almost) the entire shiny wurmple line for PM7's 24 hour hoenn shiny hunting challenge!

And I have already told you with truth that you have entered the summer of Saqar starting from 2023, despite having been constantly warning you of the passing of planet Saqar for 19 years. Unfortunately, the more I warn you, the more you run away and disbelieve in the existence of Allaah. I truly pity Arabs for being manipulated by Arab and non-Arab devils to demolish the fundamental beliefs in the clear verses of the great Qur'an, thus they believe in the opposite of the challenge of Allaah in His Words: {أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ الْمَاءَ الَّذِي تَشْرَبُونَ ‎(٦٨) أَأَنتُمْ أَنزَلْتُمُوهُ مِنَ الْمُزْنِ أَمْ نَحْنُ الْمُنزِلُونَ ‎(٦٩) لَوْ نَشَاءُ جَعَلْنَاهُ أُجَاجًا فَلَوْلَا تَشْكُرُونَ ‎(٧٠)‏} صدق الله العظيم [ سورة الواقعة] Qur'an - Surah: al-Waqi’ah- Verses: 68-70 Lo and behold, non-Arabs and Arabs! I swear by Allaah, I am thinking of disbelievers in the eras of prophets and I find them closer to knowing Allaah than the nations of this atheist world in the era of Allaah's caliph al-Mahdi. Disbelievers in the era of prophets were closer to becoming believers if it was not for their association of partners besides Allaah owing to their blind following to their fathers. See their response to the messengers sent by their Lord in the Word of Allaah the Exalted: {وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ ۚ قُلْ أَفَرَأَيْتُم مَّا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ إِنْ أَرَادَنِيَ اللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ هَلْ هُنَّ كَاشِفَاتُ ضُرِّهِ أَوْ أَرَادَنِي بِرَحْمَةٍ هَلْ هُنَّ مُمْسِكَاتُ رَحْمَتِهِ ۚ قُلْ حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ ۖ عَلَيْهِ يَتَوَكَّلُ الْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ ‎﴿٣٨﴾‏} صدق الله العظيم [سورة الزمر] Qur'an - Surah: az-Zumar- Verse: 38 So call upon your gods that you worship other than Allaah to save you from the evil of Allaah's cosmic and Corona war if you are truthful. Here you have entered the summer of Saqar, so do not wait for the four known seasons from now on because they along with winter in the south pole and the coming winter have been replaced by the summer of Saqar. Do you reckon I am talking nonsense? How strange your stance is, non-Arabs and Arabs! Logically if Nasser Mohammed al-Yamani were truly truthful in announcing the entrance of planet Earth in the climate of planet Saqar, the four seasons would be annihilated that perhaps you may think. Indeed Allaah's proofs are far-reaching. Planet Saqar is going to be blazed by the command of Allaah to be a mercy from Allaah upon you for it is better for you to feel its blaze than aboding inside it. Also, perhaps feeling its hotness causes you any remembrance. Indeed, Hellfire (Saqar) will produce fuming and growling sounds towards the Earth and they shall surround the four cardinal directions (South, North, East, and West). On the night it passes, it will obscure the horizons of planet Earth from the four cardinal directions. You are also going to witness the sign of the evident smoke of a painful torment. So... The explanation of how Wurmple's evolution triggered a fight or flight response in my brain. I caught at least 10 wurmples, and despite it being a 50/50 shot I got TEN SILCOONS! To this day I blame Beauregard for this BS considering literally right before I was looking for Dustox I memed on him for thinking cascoon was silcoon.

17:54 for anyone curious, the odds are 1721733/100 BILLION And THEN! when we add the odds of getting 2 cascoon (1/4), that adds the total to 430433/100 BILLION! Suffice to say, those odds QUANTUMLY weigh over many other odds in pokemon games.

How did you get those odds? If it's 1/241.41 chance in the first place, back to back it would be 1/58,277, no? I believe also that it being back to back + a 1/4 chance of it evolving into cascoon (I think it's 50/50 chance? I dunno though so I'm going with your 1/4 chance), it would turn out to be a 1/233,000 chance--still more unlikely than a wild shiny alpha (I believe those are a 1/86 somethin thousand chance) either way, very rare :D

The story of your shiny dustox reminds me of my first shiny ever a poochyena on route 101 of pokemon emerald at the time I didn’t even know what a shiny Pokémon was and thought it was just a bug I ended up catching it but left it in my box as a little trophy of some kind and played the game with a regular poochyena thinking if I evolved the shiny one it would no longer be ”bugged” with different colors eventually I got stuck trying to get to the 8th gym because I didn’t know dive was something that could be used like surf or cut eventually I gave up only to come back years later in the 8th grade wanting to replay the game (still not knowing what a shiny was) looking at my old save and seeing all my pokemon including the shiny poochyena and deciding “yeah it will be sad but I want to play again so bad and starting over would be better than continuing from a place I don’t know what to do at” it haunts me to this day now I’m shiny hunting poochyena on route 101 of emerald trying to make up my mistake so far found a shiny wurmple 😢

I still love how pokemon players all seem to remember exactly where their first shiny showed up that wasn't one of the freebies like red gyarados. Mine was a rattata in the first route of either Silver or Gold. I wish I still had it.

My first ever shiny was a male Sneasel on Platinum on the route just before snowpoint City and when it happened I didn't even know what a shiny was at that time I just knew that the Sneasel was pink lmao

I had the exact thing happen but CRAZIER. I went into a Chatot outbreak (didn’t have charm or any significant boosts from perfection or something like that as far as I know) and found a shiny Chatot. Then, there was a second wave in the same outbreak, and a SHINY ALPHA CHATOT appeared. Good job to you and king burly on getting the moth guy!

I've had two back to back in Let's Go Eevee, I caught the Drowzee, and a Raticate popped up once I left the battle. This was before Surge, too!

I might be wrong, but I think Wurples from the same outbreak evolve into the same Pokemon. So if one evolves into a Cascoon they all will. It was hype seeing your reactions!

You brought back my PTSD from the hunt for a living shiny alpha dex (excluding legends). The hardest wasn't smth like Zorua (even though that took a long time because the game refused to spawn an alpha outbreak for Zorua, instead giving me like 40 alpha Zoroark outbreaks before one alpha Zorua outbreak), or tree-exclusives like Cherubi or all three Wormadam, nor was it even any of the distortion-exclusives like Porygon, Weavile, the gen 4 fossil mons, and the starters. It wasn't even a full collection of shiny alpha Unknown. It was hecking Cascoon. I got 27 shiny alpha Silcoon from that hunt. TWENTY. SEVEN. You wanna know the worst part? I got the Cascoon as a random shiny alpha on my way to a distortion.
