@papabearspitz5573 жыл бұрын
A leader must learn to be humble first and able to "walk the talk". Dirty one hands and feet to meet your people in rural areas rather than meeting people in golf courses and expensive restaurants. Not many world leaders have we seen or heard who are willing to meet poor people in their primary role as leader of the land. President Xi did it because he was "a farmer" during his early years as a youth and it bring with him great experience and understanding what it is like to be poor.

Check out the bloodlines of some of these leaders when you have time. You'll be very surprised. A GREAT leader of China. We RESPECT you a lot. Lots of LOVE from Nepal 🇳🇵🙏🇳🇵
Here's what zhang weiwei says in his book: In late June 2007, at a picturesque summer retreat outside Munich, the renowned Marshall BBS hosted a seminar on China, in which I addressed the rise of China and its international influence.A European scholar asked me, "when do you think China can democratize?""How do you define democratization?" I asked."It's simple: one man, one vote, universal suffrage, rotation of political parties," he said impatiently.I then asked him: "have you ever thought that China also has its own values? One of them is to seek truth from facts."I went on: "we have been looking for facts for a long time, but we have not found any examples of developing countries achieving modernization through such democratization as you mentioned.I've been to more than a hundred countries and I haven't found it yet."I politely asked him for an example.He could not answer immediately.At this point, an American scholar raised his hand and exclaimed, "India.""Have you ever been to India?" I asked him."No," he said.I said, "I have been there twice, from north to south, from east to west.My sense is that India is at least 20, even 30 years behind China.I have seen more poverty in mumbai and kolkata than I have seen in China in 20 years combined.He was silent."Botswana?" said the scholar."Have you been there?" I asked."No," he said.I said, "I've been there, I've seen the President of Botswana.It is a small country with a population of only 1.7 million.Botswana did have a western democracy, and there was no major upheaval."This country is rich in resources and relatively homogeneous in ethnic composition, but even with such good conditions, Botswana is still a very backward developing country with a life expectancy of less than 40 years."What about costa rica?"Asked another scholar.I asked him, "have you ever been to this country?"The answer is no.I said, "I visited the country in 2002.It is also a small country with a population of more than 4 million.Compared with the rest of Central America, costa rica is politically stable and economically prosperous.More than 90 percent of the country's population is of European descent, and the starting point is not low.Unfortunately, costa rica is still very backward, and there is a big gap between the rich and the poor. Twenty percent of the population is still poor.At this time, I simply asked: "should I cite the western model of democratization in the developing countries did not succeed in the example?Ten? Twenty?I talked briefly about the democracy created by the United States: the Philippines, the democracy created by black americans themselves in Africa: Liberia, Haiti on the doorstep of the United States, and today's hapless Iraq.Some in the audience began to nod, some shook their heads, but no one got up to contradict them.I asked, "all of you are from developed countries. Can you give me an example of a developed country that adopted universal suffrage before or during the process of its modernization?"No one answered.I said, "the voting rights of black americans didn't really begin until 1965.It was not until 1971 that all women gained the right to vote in Switzerland.If we want to promote the democratization of the western way, the west itself must first explain to others why your own process of true democratization, without exception, was all gradual and only achieved after modernization?Once this problem is thoroughly studied, we will have a common language.I mentioned a hypothetical question in passing: "what would happen if China implemented universal suffrage today?If China had not been torn apart and fought a civil war, we might have elected a government of farmers, because there are the largest number of farmers.If we go back three or four generations, we're all farmers.We will never forget our roots as farmers. We do not discriminate against farmers or people from rural areas.But even chairman MAO zedong, who led countless peasant movements, once said that the serious problem lay in educating the peasants.You know better than I that a peasant government cannot lead a great cause of modernization.At this time, an unconvinced scholar said, "democracy itself is sacred and noble, which is a universal value that China should accept.""Democracy is universal," I said. "but whether this form of democracy in the west is universal is debatable.To impose your system on the world, even by force, in the name of universal values, would be too much.Look at Iraq today. According to a new report by the BBC, the residents of Baghdad began to describe their city as "hell on earth", but naive americans thought iraqis would welcome them with flowers.Anyone actually take the time to read several books on the primer of western democratic theory, the master will know most of the western democratic theory, from montesquieu to schumpeter, are not in favor of democracy for democracy, that democracy is a process, a kind of system arrangement, the rules of a game, its characteristic is "limited participation", not "infinite" participation.Of course, there are also idealists like Rousseau, who call for people's sovereignty and constantly revolutionize. France has paid a heavy price for this, and what it finally achieved is not the goal democracy expected by Rousseau, but the tool democracy.In 2006, I in the United States the international herald BBS newspaper published a commentary, when it comes to west to output their democratic model problem for developing countries: "western ideology and introduce a massive radical democracy, ignoring a local specific circumstances, to Africa and less developed areas it is natural to take root as the western system of mature society.Democratization, even before the formation of a tolerant political culture and a society based on the rule of law, has often had frustrating, even disastrous, results.Edward Mansfield, a professor at the university of Pennsylvania, and jack schneider, a professor at Columbia University, recently published a book, Electing to Fight: Why Emerging Democracies Go to War.The basic idea is that the transition to a western model of democracy is most likely to lead to internal conflict or external war, because politicians can easily win votes by playing the populist card. Throughout the 1990s, many countries went to war immediately after holding free elections:Armenia and azerbaijan open open open, Ecuador and Peru, Ethiopia and eritrea, and Burundi, Rwanda's genocide, lead to more than 100 ten thousand people were killed, and, of course, Yugoslavia painful division and war, I visited all of the former Yugoslavia in 2006 countries, deaths in the bosnian war alone the most conservative estimates more than 100000 people, in Europe after the second world war the most deadly war.Much evil is done in the name of promoting universal values.In less than 30 years, China has maintained stability, its economy has expanded tenfold, and its people's livelihood has generally improved.China's relative success has earned it a valuable voice, one that can make sense on an equal footing with the west: you have a point, I listen to you, you don't, you listen to me.If we had listened to the west, China would have disintegrated.In democratization and so on this problem, the west still did not get rid of "I orthodox, others are pagan" thinking mode, this kind of mode of thinking has led to countless wars in history, almost destroyed the western civilization itself, the west could have learned a lot of truth, but the west, particularly in the United States does not appear to have enough from the lesson.The order of the evolution of the original western democratic society can be roughly summarized as follows: first, the development of economy and education; second, the construction of civic culture and legal society; and finally, the democratization.The wrong order often comes at a heavy cost.The west wants the third world to democratise all at once, taking the last step as the first, or all three at once.World in progress, also is no longer the monopoly of the western democracy and privilege, as a latecomer, China in the process of democratic construction, should be the democracy practice of developed countries and the third world today draw useful experiences and profound lessons, beyond the west the narrow and rigid concept, promote conforms to the situation of China, the gradual and further reform of political system, strive for the final, to establish a new democratic society prosperity and harmony.

This is impressive. First, there are the results. Second, there is the respect from the people, to their leader. If Trump were to go to minorities in US inner cities, 1) the people would NOT show respect to him. 2) the inner cities keep slipping into worse inequality and conditions in the US. Xi has helped get these people OUT of poverty, and, with the night school mentioned here, interested IN education. He also teaches them to avoid big spending. US inner cities like all the flashy cars and jewelry, etc, the big spending, and, unfortunantly, all too many drop OUT of education. Yeah, Xi works very hard, and, whether we agree with everything or not, we cannot deny his accomplishments, as shown here. Great video.

It's even more stringent than western corporations, one must exceed/meet KPI to be eligible for promotion, from villagr to town to city then province, and eventually central government. What is wrong with any background, poor/rich, peasant/noble class? Why deny a leader.just because of his/her background? Ability plus care for people should matter more.
