environment always wins bro, no chance unless you declutter, that means you disconnect from almost everything mundane that allows to stay in contact with most of the ppl you know. The real change? Making your close circle quit those too and then you'll hve a clean environment. Hopefully they will do the same (unfortuntelly this has to face real world bottlenecks).

@@vaxel2 yeah, I already lost a few friends because of this, but at least I gain a lot of new friends (mostly thanks to synthesizer skool), its such an interesting thing, when you stop all these negative programming, and basically you leave the matrix, and after it if you meet with normies there is such a huge gap, when they talk about basically anything news, gaming, memes, tiktok you cant even add anything to shallow conversations like this I tried to change a few people, but I realized, that if they don't want to change there is no way you can help them

I can see that the amount of views on your channel has fallen. Don't be upset :) I believe the reason for that is your previous content is so good that, in the long run, it discourages from watching you further, as watching you in itself is more or less procrastination. Ironicaly by saying the truth, by helping people you decimated your viewership, which is highly noble of you. I am very thankful for your help and hope that you are holding on during these rough times.

Exactly, you're right! After watching a bunch of Andrew Kirby's videos, now whenever I see him in my feed or recommendations, I immediately feel the urge to become more productive and stop watching KZbin. Seeing his face or name has almost become a cue for me to stop what I'm doing and get back to work. Thanks Andrew for your great, helpful, and motivational content and hope you're doing well!

So true! I was watching this documentary with accounts from executives that used to work at them, of how social media companies literally have whole teams of people dedicated to making the platforms more and more addictive, and constantly tuning them to make them even a little bit moreso every day. Messed up for real. This world needs some positive change in it, and its up to people to come together and make that change!

JUST A HEADS UP, KZbin isn't that much different from Social media or Netflix, and Self-help isn't actually good for you unless you're taking actions and changing your life. If all you're doing is watching/reading self help you are still "poor, fat and lazy" lol.

I don't think it's them... It's us. We have the freedom to choose what we eat and we are responsible for our own research. This is just what happens when you give humans complete freedom. They start to see their own flaws through self inflicted suffering. I don't blame my parents for not teaching me everything they know about nutrition. I don't blame capitalism for my health. It's just business. And sugar sells. To those who fail to take responsibility for their own health.

You are right, of course. I liked social media at the start and have reconnected with a few people I lost contact with over the years, which I value. However, everything else on social media is mostly unhelpful to me. I have noticed my attention span has reduced over the years. Reading a book I find hard to start doing, but once I am I get into it. I am having to retrain my brain to NOT check social media regularly. I removed the Facebook app from my phone years ago, so if I want to check it I have to be at my PC. Even then I am usually done within 5 mins or so.

I am wondering how did your life turn this way? How is your life? What important choices did you take? How to retire early like you? How to be like you, the successful retired young man that you are portraying on your videos? I just graduated with bachelor degree in Sep 2021. Then looking for jobs until now, but still uncertain about going to work plus the uncertainty of life. Meanwhile, I do a lot of reflection and life orientation/planning. Feeling lost. Then one of your videos (and the comments) kind of assured me, the one about just live the life. Also instead of working for money which I feel I don't need/matter right now (because I am leeching off my parents), I want to do learning/self-development/or just take my time to find the opportunities that can take me steps ahead. What do you say? What should I do sir. Maybe watching your life path review during the important moments (from the start of college until now) will help many of us.

one way is by understanding that it only provides temporary gratification of pleasure and its truly a waste of time. and life is to short to be wasting it on those types of things that only make u miserable in the longer term. also what helps is having something better to do with ur time and ur life, finding pleasure and joy in being healthy, and basically creating an environment for yourself where ur not surrounded by all those distractions. and the thing is the less u indulge in those things, the less you actually want it.
