I come across these once and awhile. This one reminds me of that "love and fear" classroom scene in Donnie Darko.

I've done a few pages so far. At first it felt overwhelming but after reading how to use the journal and learning that I could skip around, I felt better about it. I'm going to be bringing the journal in for my therapy appts to talk about it. After thumbing thru the journal, my therapist mentioned that he is going to get his own copy :) Thank you!

Dr Fox, Is it possible (from a DSM perspective or even just your own clinical expertise) to have zero BPD symptoms or behaviors until your 40's or 50's? If I were to (honestly, transparently) say I see those signs in me after serious traumatic events and coinciding with alcohol use, how would/ could you diagnose? Isn't CPTSD very similar? Disregulation, acting out, self medicating, etc? Is the healing route the same or different? Or if even tho I cant have a personality disorder that started at 45, it doesn't matter? If the shoe fits? Thank you. I wish you could start a huge zoom 1x a week for a group session. Youd get thousands. We would pay. Win win!
@DrDanielFox3 ай бұрын
It's definitely possible for symptoms to emerge later in life, often triggered by significant stressors or trauma. CPTSD and BPD share some similarities, but the healing process can vary depending on individual experiences. Seeking professional guidance is key to navigating your journey.

@@DrDanielFox So... one can actually have an actual PD that didnt show any signs (I mean none, honestly) til mid 40's? Or I guess it's also what you often refer to- ie landing somewhere on the spectrum.
