I also love the new do it yourself garden rewilding approach that is currently spreading! Because in addition to the big ecosystem restoration we will also need every small dot of rewilded nature in our landscape as a kind of "pearl necklace" so animals can move from one spot to the next. Unfortunately this is only in German, but we have one young guy here who is doing very informative garden rewilding videos on KZbin and Instagram. On the latter channel he has already more than 100,000 followers. So great to see! m.youtube.com/@robingaschnogelrogel2351

Mulch and rocks. That’s always a good thing for almost every ecosystem that can be done in small scale ways. Also, collecting food scraps/food waste from restaurants or stores and distributing them over monoculture area’s or larger areas with wild life present to utilize them and add bio adversity to the ground and areas is a great help. Shredding papers and cardboard boxes 📦 in a wood chipper along with fallen branches and leaves also helps. Collecting feathers 🪶 and other organic matter from processing farms and other places and adding them back to nature helps also, as well as collecting coffee grounds from restaurants and distributing those helps a lot too.

I sure hope that the Alentejo region of Portugal one day might come back to its former glory, without these olive trees taking water out and getting it poluted, the old olive trees that were heat resistant and took time to grow and didn't ruin the soil and didn't take much water those were amazing, and the old wheat fields that were taken down because of the olive trees. Thanks for reading, i am a fan from Beja.

Dear @MossyEarth, an idea to share, Would be great if Mossy Earth can create a programme for its contributors to "Leave their Mark", "Leave their Legacy", they invest an X amount in restoration/rehabilitation projects and a permanent memorial/monument is placed/installed on the site where it all began. Example Marble boulder with engraved names and dates of the project conception to completion. Monument would be discreet and respectful to the surroundings without any impact on the surroundings, Also, maybe teaming up with environmental artists that can create a living monument that also serve as a refuge to the flora and fauna, Many thanks, And keep up the good work!

But this would take away from the money used on projects, which is probably why it isn’t something they’ve done. We are all contributors, we are all part of the projects, and keeping donations anonymous is more in keeping with the motto of Mossy Earth. I do like your idea of living monuments, but I think keeping specific names off it is in better taste.
