I'm guessing that a combination of IMAX release contract and director choice determines whether IMAX-shot movies display those shots open matte on 4K and blu-ray.

I mean all films shot with imax shots should have them on the physical releases. If Michael Bays bizarrely shot Transformers sequels can get all the shot sizes on one disc then why can’t Dune?
