If we want to be pedantic, there's 125 possible Totem Barbarian combinations before factoring in each Tiger 6 Variant as you choose an animal at all 3 tiers instead of only the level 3 selection. IE Bear, Tiger, Eagle gives us the super tank who can grab whatever they want out of the air and still have room for out of combat skill monkeying.

On the Beast Barberian- 1.I think it's meant to be the monster subclass not just werewolf. 2. Lycanthropes are a motif that exists all around the globe, not just Europe. So you can have were jaguars/tigers/fisherman cats and have the whole swimming thing make sense. EDIT: Sorry for not making a more sophisticated comment.

Zealots at lvl 20 are, genuinely, unkillable. Crawboyo himself confirmed a barbarian can refresh a rage before the prior one ends, zealots barbarians don't die until their rage ends, barbarians at 20 get unlimited rages... Crawboyo confirmed, himself, that there are two unkillable classes in the game. Moon druid being the second, but technically, if you find a way to nova hard enough... They *can* die.

This is the content I live for. I can give a strong AGREE with the changes to Storm Barb; if the subclass' features are all passive auras, more range suits them perfectly. I wasn't aware of the Wild Magic subclass tho, just imagining some crazy fuck glitching stuff out and in from reality looks like a fun way to play, and surely must be some scary experience to fight from the enemy's perspective. Great ending, violence is a question and the answer tends to be yES. ps: A tiny part of me was wondering if we would see Skelly fight sadly that wasn't the case, but I'm glad he has friends to defend him though.

I think what may help barbarian some more, after getting into a random talk with a DM, is two things. One, make barbarian Rage bonus equal to proficiency mod. Gives a nice bonus that scales when appropriate and isn't too overpowering. In fact, it feels much better than waiting until nearly level goddamn 20 for a +4. The other is fixing the base barbarian midrange abilities for a bit more cohesiveness. Look, Brutal Critical is nice and all, but unless Reckless Attack is giving out crits to a very lucky player, it's effectively an empty class feature while everyone else relishes in damage time.

Unironically yes, I have fought a person who was on fire. I was defending myself from them and I had a lighter and aeresol can of some kind (I didn't note what it was, I was busy freaking out about lighting a fool on fire) It ended the fight until they ditched the clothes and re-evaluated their life choices, and then re-attempted the fight when their buddies showed up and they all got faces full of eyebrow singing fire. Yep, this and the fighter Bone Wizard versions are the ones I'm handing out to my players next time we start a new game. Can't wait for your views on the other classes. Mr. Bone Wizard, if you don't mind (and please use this if you like) I would like to suggest some changes in the same vein as you, little changes that fix big problems, that I think work and use in my table. Warlock: 1- Let them know their extended spell list for free (they don't have that many slots anyways). 2- Give them a free cantrip that represent their patron (Patron blessing) and all the invocations that affect the eldritch blast also work with this cantrips. Ex. Firebolt (for Fiend patron) with a range of 300ft because of eldritch spear. 3- In addition to what they already have, at lvl 20 get a type of Divine Intervention (external interference) but you roll a percentile dice and if you roll a number equal to or lower than your warlock level, your patron intervenes. Sorcerer: 1 - You add the new rulers from the Aberrant Mind and the Clockwork Soul to the old subclass, extended list that they know for free and you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level from a school of magic that your subclass is related to from the sorcerer, warlock, or wizard spell list. Ex. Draconic Bloodline evocation and abjuration. Wild magic, you roll two d8 the select two school that you can choose from, if you get the same number twice you can select one school of your choosing. 2 - You can only have sorcery point equal to your sorcerer lvl and can only have spell slots of each level equal to the ones that the spell table says, unless you get an item or feat that says otherwise. 3 - In addition to what they already have, at lvl 20 you get access to all metamagic options. Monk 1 - Step of the Wind and Empty Body are free but Empty Body is one use por day. 2 - Martial Arts die develop as follows lvl1 d4, lvl5 d6, lvl11 2d4, lvl17 2d6 and lvl20 3d6. 3 - I have no idea how to fix some subclasses and the lvl20 feature. Bard 1 - Countercharm: in addition to what they already have, if the bard succeeds in their roll and if they maintain concentration on the countercharm, other friendly creatures within 30 feet of you can reroll their saving throws against being frightened or charmed at the end of each of their turn. 2- Superior Inspiration: in addition to what they already have, anyone that uses oyur inspiration die can also add your charisma modifier. Druid I use three of the Treantmonk variant rules to help Circle of the Land and Moon, 1 - For Circle of the Land with your wild shape you can turn to creatures with the plant subtype. 2 - For the Circle of the Moon. Primal Strike: in addition to what they already have, when you hit an enemy with an attack while in Wild Shape, you may expend a spell slot to enhance the attack with elemental damage (cold, fire, lightning or poison, your choice). The damage added is equal to 1d10 points per level of spell slot expended. 3- For the Circle of the Moon. Thousand Forms: in addition to what they already have, you add your Wisdom Modifier to the Armor class of your Wildshape forms. I hope anyone that reads this finds it interesting.

Glad you like the changes, I hope they work for your table. I love comments like this, homebrewing to fix problems, good stuff. Warlock: 1. Agree. 2. Its a neat idea, if done well. Personally i just give them one more cantrip than it says on the warlock table. If they are going to get so few spell slots, then they should get more cantrips. Also check out the link, it has way to improve other cantrips through evocations. I think most of the ideas are solid. dawnforgedcast.myshopify.com/products/warlock-invocations-reforged 3. I think people sleep on eldritch master too much. You can buff you and your friends before a fight, take a minute, and then get all your spells back. I think the original version is great. You could give it cleric's features, but I personally feel warlock patrons don't care as much for their followers as gods do to clerics, but that's just me. Id say make something original. Sorcerer: 1. Agree. 2. Is this to combat coffee lock? if so, the better option is to just ask your players to not abuse some game rules. Your friends will listen. 3. agree, but they should still learn more as they level up. The current rate is to slow and you never learn enough. Monk: I don't wanna hit the character limit, so pass. Bard: 1. I Prefer this one we made. Our bard enjoys it. "Countercharm requires a bonus action and not an action. Additionally you can also use this ability as a reaction to 1 creature as long as they are within 120ft." 2. That's pretty good. Druid: 1. Not super familiar with plant stat blocks, sorry. 2. its interesting. Id have the run numbers, but it has potential. 3. maybe extra Moon Druid bit: The actual answer to make them better is to just give them more beasts to turn into. You think it would be easy to add on more, But NOPE. Currently working on the druid video btw.

Everything works out pretty good with these fixes except maybe too strong for wild soul. I'd say the first one being +half level is fine as it works a single time on activation. Everything else being +proficiency and/or a stat mod works better especially with having two effects active at once.

Alternative idea for Beserker: you can frenzy an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus halved an NOT suffer exaustion. You can still frenzy after reaching the limit, but THAT is when you start suffering exaustion.

My personal interpretation of the Eagle totem's 14th level thing is that it's Jump Good. So like, you can leap onto the back of a flying dragon, or from the bottom to the top of a cliff! Or straight up and down if you want. You can jump up 20 feet and then fall 20 feet without worry, but jumping higher than that gives you problems (though it's only a d6 for every 10 feet over 10 I think? And you're raging so you're still ignoring half that...) And I think it also works with Dashing (since that's still 'your turn') so really you could Eagle Jump upwards of 80 feet or more (Wood elf barbarians ftw!)

The way the Totemic Attunement for the Eagle (7:36) is worded, I always just describe it as the Barbarian jumping for absurde distances.

Easiest fix to the Beast barbarian is to allow all beast weapons at the same time. There is no reason to restrict their weapon options to only one at a time. It doesn't give them more damage - only more choice how to combine their beast weapons to solve the encounter.

There is a play style for tiger, grapple and jump. If you build with like heringon (rabbit people) or satyr then you can get fall damage by jumping like 60 ft in the air for 6d6 bludgeoning (which you’re resistant too). Unfortunately just playing a flying build is mechanical better, and you don’t need to look up jump rules. Flavor wise it’s cool, (even though beast barbarian actually does it better at lv 6), but flying monk barbarian can turn into a meteor that has slow fall which prevents way more damage then resistance. If ancestral guardian’s 3rd level feature applied to multiple targets it would be as strong as bear totem. Storm herald desperately needs the buffs.

Liking this so far, but I gotta' wonder why you didn't say much about that seventh surge. 15 feet of difficult terrain is very often terrible, and it doesn't even exclude allies. Maybe allow a number of targets up to half your barbie level be immune to this particular difficult terrain (as the vines and roots magically swerve and reorient to avoid obstructing them) and increase the range to 30' at lv10?

For the beast Barbarian I think at level 6 the beastial soul should let them gain wings as it is the level where all the other movement skills are added. Even neffing it so you slowly fall at this level instead of fly like the feather fall spell is cast then at level 10 they can fly for real and keep the slow fall. It is the shape shifting subclass (that's not moon druid) it should a a real beast.

I think the real problem with beast barbarian is just that weapons are always better than natural weapons. Literally any Heavy Weapon with Great Weapon MAster will do more... Also you can use your beast weapons (except for claws) while using a shield, which affects how Wizards Balances it.

I feel like the Wild Magic effects should gain additional dice instead of a flat level based buff (particularly given the change to having two at a time for the high-end feature). Would fit both the magical and chaotic flavors of the subclass better. Maybe make #6's AC a d3 or d4 roll for its level 10 improvement instead of a flat 2 (or even a d3 or d2 at base and 2d3/2d2 at level 10). In my scenario, the temp HP of #1 would scale alongside the damage. Maybe double the range of the ones lacking other numbers to increase?

Personally I think the reckless attack thing is kind of stupid. The downside is there regardless of if you know you need to use it or not, and it's basically asking you to predict what the dice are going to roll because of how much randomness is involved in an attack. When I play barbarian, I either never use it or only use it and completely ditch the concept of AC.

The biggest thing a GM can do to make not only barbarian but all martial classes better is to allow them to do things impossible for a normal human. D&D is a fantasy game so let you barbarian rip a tree froom it's roots to make a bridge or use it as a big ass torch to start burning down a bandit village froom a safe distance. In other words let maritals do some crazy things for a good enough role that spellcasters can do with a 100% success rate for a high enough spell slot. im curious about your thoughts on making one more change to zealot where instead of gettting the unarmored defence bonus, they instead get heavy armor but perhaps also loose out on other subclasses possible extra health bonuses since its not like they need the health to keep on fighting and killing anyways AND i would both love to guts cosplay with the zealots unkillibleness fits it perfectly BUT ALSO it fits with the crusader style a bit more.

One minor thing: Form of the Beast isn't about being a werewolf. It's about being a shapechanger. The swim speed and breathing water is about transforming into a fish--or shark if you care more about that.

See, I'm even a bit more generous. I will allow them to roll recklessly after the initial miss for the first attack too. It's just not a big deal for me. If they want to tactically apply reckless somewhat retroactively, go ahead. If they want to just go reckless on everything to try to crit, be my guest.

@bonewizard To each their own. I do really like the Berserker fix, though. The way i did it for a player was a con save that stacked until a long rest. Which meant that as he got more rages, the potential DCs would go up, but so did his saving bonus.

@@bonewizard he was high on something couldn't feel shit. At first i tried to help the guy trying to get him to drop and roll and throw water on him. He was just yelling and throwing punches. Buddy of mine wached him with a club i think it was a wedge. While the crazy was on the ground wet towels were used to put him out. Emt said the guy was lucky with mostly 3rd degree burns on his head and back. Haven't been able to play a round of golf since.

What do you think about a homebrew melee ability where when a melee fighter (doesn't need to be the fighter class) goes down/hits zero, they can fail 2 death saves in exchange for an autocrit against the person that downed them. Kind of a if I'm going down in taking you with me ability. I would imagine this would allow for sneak attacks and smites and such

As a class feature? idk. An ability that is only activated when your dying isn't great. As a magic item though, YES! That makes for some hype moments. Maybe make it a sword with some other effects as well.

The "Come And Get It" attack does combo nicely with Retaliation; you can do four attacks total in one turn at that point all with advantage by using your Action, Bonus Action, and Reaction, and accepting one attack against you with advantage, whilst also denying that creature their Reaction against anything else.
