I'm so glad you popped up in my KZbin recs today! The perfectionism/burnout loop is brutal and your message for how you've handled it is beautifully said. I look forward to seeing more from you. :)

Can I bother you? xD Happy New Year, Josie! Oh, I could talk about this topic for hours. First of all, what even is perfection? It’s such a subjective thing… Like a gate to nowhere because it completely depends on the person. That “wonky” camera angle… Maybe it feels wonky to you, but I see it as adding a nice, flowy, and funny vibe to your editing. It’s the same way you might find something amazing in another creator’s video that they think isn’t “perfect enough.” And honestly, once you’ve achieved what you think is perfection… is that it? Or will you just move the goalpost again? Perfection can feel like chasing something that’s never truly enough, so I get why you’d want to let that go. It’s freeing, right? When it comes to making videos, I’ve noticed the ones that resonate most are those where viewers can see themselves reflected: whether it’s their feelings, experiences, or needs. That’s why sometimes content that doesn’t give away the “obvious” might not perform as well, but it doesn’t mean it’s not good! I personally loved your last video-it felt perfect for that moment in time. I think the more honest and authentic you are, the more people connect. You can always tell when someone was genuinely in the mood to create versus when they weren’t. And being a creator… It’s tough! It takes so much time, planning, and energy. I’m wishing you all the best in reaching your KZbin goals this year. May you have some achievable (but not overwhelming!) plans to keep that creativity flowing. A peaceful mind definitely helps ideas come alive. ❤

Happy new year! 😊 Haha, yes, please bother me! I am always both surprised and happy when I see your comments. This is exactly what I've been thinking, the thing that makes another creator interesting in my eyes are the things that only they do or say or how they present. So maybe my flaws can be that for others haha. Like you say, a lot of reach is about marketing, and that's so difficult when the topic is near to heart. Sometimes it feels silly making thumbnails or writing a "grabby" title, but it's part of it. I'm looking forward to just having fun this year and (hopefully) meeting more creators 😊 and the same to you, it'll be fun to follow your work!

@@josiemakes 😊 Same here! I have a feeling that if we met in real life, we’d totally vibe with each other.
