Love this, but I think it was likely due to the injury he went into the Olympics with that had him being very very careful in practice.

Hi 👋🏻 Yuzu works a lot with visualization so he’s probably marking jumps or important parts of his choreo. He said when he twirls his finger in the air he’s erasing the feeling of the previous jump, and replacing its image/feel with a new one. Image training is a huge part of his training method. Before PyeongChang Olympics, when he couldn’t skate due to his injury, he kept Chopin and SEIMEI sharp in his body and mind through image training. I honestly believe that was some 50% of his victory because he practically couldn’t do run throughs much less jump from Nov/2017 till Jan/2018
