Samsung washing machine HE & TE error code heating fault

I had the TE code. I tested the sensor and the heating element and they tested good! But, when I went to unplug the heating element I did notice as soon as I touched the first wire terminal it fell off. I came to a conclusion that was my problem. The drum shook it right off. I pushed it back on and heard it click then put everything back together except the top and back and tested it and it operated like normal, then I put the top and back covers on. Pretty easy fix!

Thanks. for the video and also for showing test mode in the other video. Our WF1804WPC let out a bit of a smell and a tiny bit of smoke yesterday so I ran it through your test procedure. I found there was no relay click to turn on the heating element and certainly no extra current being drawn by the washing machine when it was supposed to be heating the water. Next step I'll pull the thing apart and test both the element and the NTC Thermistor, but I got a funny feeling I might have to go looking at the heater control circuit board too ... I'll report back!

@@How-to-repair thanks - it's not activating and I found there are some burnt out components under the conformal coating on the Main PCB. Not really repairable without detailed schematics of the Main PCB, so looks like I need to replace the Main PCB, around $320AUD. The element measures 27ohm cold (230v/50Hz here in Australia). Not sure it's going to be a worthwhile repair, your thoughts?

Nice clear videos, Paul! WF1104XBC heater relay clicks on test, but no power to heater 😢 Cabling all good, so I assume relay must be faulty?

Does sound like it could be the heater relay if you can match it up they will normally only cost you about 10 £15

MY Samsung WF218/XAA washer gave TE error code. replaced thermistor & heat coil. Didn't fix it. Checked wiring. Broken orange wire at the harness in back. the wire leading to the thermistor. Fixed it with shrink wrap n tape. Anybody need a 7yr old heat coil n thermistor?
