I have a MotoG3. At the back behind the backcover there is a white dot. (A hole with a white cover on the right next to the simcard slot, on the upperleft of the backcamera) I accidentely punctered this spot. What is it for? Did i damaged something? Will there be any problems with the waterproof of this phone? Please help!

Curious of the micro USB connector. Does it come out easily? I can't tell in the video, but it looks like it may be replaceable once the 3 screw cover is removed. It doesn't seem to be held in on the inside. Is that correct?

Dunno. You can TRY if it has a 'high' setting. Just put the nozzle right against the glass. If the glass doesn't become hot enough to almost singe ur finger, then it's not hot enough to loosen the foam adhesive sticker.

Hi there! Thank you for making these videos! They have been extremely helpful and I was able change my cracked screen with mostly no problems. The screen was fine and functioning but it seems like I did something to my proximity sensor, and then when I reopened it to try to fix that, I accidentally snapped the black piece that locks the LCD ribbon cable into place. I am wondering if you know how to fix that? I can see that I can order the whole flex cable but I have no idea how to remove and reattach this to the logic board. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

I took my Moto G3 to get the SIM card reader replaced and when I went to pick my phone I noticed that the ear-speaker and the mic weren't working. I couldn't hear while in phone calls and people couldn't hear me either. Only the main speaker worked but that is useless if I can't make calls or record audios in whatsapp. So I took my phone back to the service center and the man told me that the SIM card reader pops out of its place (that doesn't sound possible because there are some screws that prevent that popping) and that the sound isn't working because the same SIM card reader is connected to the "sound card" (if that exists). Could you help me verify this info he gave me? I don't want to be fooled, and if he broke my phone more than it was (it only had the sim card problem) he's gonna have to pay for it.

More so guaranteed if you buy the foam adhesive frame sticker off ebay. Wit Rigs has a video showing how to apply it. I dunno about the VHB tape. It's powerful and may do the job if u keep the screen pressed under a weight for 24hrs min -72hrs max. I've yet to try the tape myself. But it has many uses for future phone repair.

It looks like that is why the battery gets hot so fast .... Its right next to the motherboard and metal housing which I assume acts like a heat sink

After i put it back together the backlight stopped working. The screen is responsive and if i shine a light on it i can see what's on it, but the backlight won't turn on. Is this a common problem?

I broke my screen two months ago. I have bought two new screens so far. I tried to replace the screen on my own once and the screen didn't work. The other screen I took to a professional, he replaced my screen but the second screen didn't work either. He said that the problem was that I had lost a lock for the connector and that's the reason that the screens weren't working. I find that hard to believe, do you think that was the problem? Either way, I personally do not recommend buying these screens from ebay..

You mean the clamp that holds the screen digitizer connector cable? If you try flicking that and there's nothing there, or if you pull on the digitizer's cable while "locked" and it comes out, then yeah the lock/clamp is damaged. That's attached to a cable at the back of the circuit board, so I dunno if that's easily replaceable.
