Howard Jones live at the Mean Fiddler 15th December 1993

My apologies for the terrible sound quality of this video. I was using a Ferguson Videostar camcorder and clearly the inbuilt microphone was not designed for such awesomeness. Also, the first couple of minutes will feel like you're on a roller-coaster as I jostle with the crowd, but I eventually find a fairly secure footing. I will argue with you though that it's better than nothing :) I could not record all of the gig as I only had 2 camcorder batteries which lasted 30 minutes each if you were lucky BUT I did capture Howard singing songs from the "Working in the Backroom" CD.

The last 65 minutes has been so freaking cool. Man, what a performance. Howard is so underrated. I mean, if you're a performer, pianist, vocalist you cannot deny how talented he is. He makes it look so natural and easy but it is absolutely NOT easy. He really knows how to communicate with the audience. I was at the Dallas show in the summer of 1993. I was front center over his Yamaha KX-88. I only have a couple of blurry photos from the show. He signed my keyboard that night. I also got to meet Thelma and John who were running the merchandise booth. I was floored that Thelma knew me from my many fan letters. Good times. Again, thank you so much for posting this. I will surely have this on repeat. - I'm trying to imagine the people dancing to 'Left No Evidence in 7/8'. That must have been hilarious.

Absolutely love this, especially the Working In The Backroom songs, which I hadn't heard live before. Let The Spirit Carry Me especially is a great song. Thanks for posting. It's always a delight listening to Howard's music.

So glad I discovered this gem. I saw the Synth Tour in Hamburg's Logo Club - and it was so impressive. As much as I admire the great musicians he is working with on stage today, but HoJo is best as a one-man show.
