So I replaced the quartz movement but the hole in my hour hand is too large for the new movement. My hour hand just falls down. Any ideas? Can I purchase new hands?

First you have to figure out which Battery Movement is needed. The "parts" website has many many battery movements with long ? model numbers however, none of the numbers are even close to my model or any other random number I'm finding on the clock or battery movement replacement.

Thank you for replying. I did check out the cross reference parts list, before my original post here, and my model number (612-242) was not on there. When I clicked on the link you posted here it said: This res.cloudinary.com page can’t be found No webpage was found for the web address: res.cloudinary.com/hmcgallery/image/upload/crossreference_movem Go to cloudinary.com/ Search Google for res cloudinary hmc gallery image upload cross reference movem HTTP ERROR 404 Then I went where it suggested (cloudinary.com/) and it was a website for developers??? and I have no idea what I'm suppose to do with that. My mother says the clock is old, and on the back of the clock she wrote she changed the battery in 1999 and 2005. Do you have other suggestions of how I can find a battery movement device that would work properly on her clock? The nearest repairman, via the Howard Miller Clock Co website, is 1 1/2 hours away from us.

Helpful except they don't make the movement for my model of clock anymore. It's just a dust collector now.
