@@Dancing2daRhythm first of all that video was recorded on a potato chip you seriously couldn’t find the a video of them doing the count in question from a more recent time?? 2nd, 2 counts of the OLL count were similar to the end of that doll count. Dance moves look similar sometimes 😐 You gonna pick apart every single similar looking dance move? If that was the case y’all would have field day with some of these high school teams who legitimately just copy and paste college team counts and perform them in the stands😂

Howard band is subpar. The bob wigs were a no, no, but the ladies field performance was🔥 I expected better from the 🦬🦬though.

While this is SO true, us northern HBCUs don't have many feeder schools like the south that really prepare students for the band and music programs, which makes it so hard to recruit top musicians.

@@travis-michaelcoleman1944 Exactly. This was well said. I think the problem with the people who are slandering Showtime and Oh La! La!’s performances are that they’re used to these huge SWAC band programs and accept nothing less.

@@travis-michaelcoleman1944 never thought of it like that. Coming from a high school from Birmingham and a formal Marching Hornet, big bands with students reading music fluently was the norm. Saturday was my first time seeing Howard in person.

My son is on the drumline in the Showtime Band and comes from Westlake High School, a feeder school to many SWAC bands. Howard is a private institution with a 60K price tag and has a 3.5 GPA requirement. Many of the band members don't get scholarships for band but academics. He wishes they were bigger but I think they work with what they have. Wish HBCU supporters were more supportive.
