Love just sitting and watching how other people make their animations. You can pick up so on so many useful things.

Damn man, that was awesome thank you so much. Very interesting to watch it happening in real-time (albeit sped up), and the advice was great. I'm a filmmaker but want to get more into animation. Not the best at drawing, but excited to get better :) Big thumbs up my friend

All there really is to it is practicing life drawing and gesture drawing. Do that everyday and you’ll get where you want. Doing the 1-2’min speed sketches is a rlly big skill maker for drawing

Thanks, Howard. I love animation and wish I could become an animator. But my problem is, I don't know how to draw! It feels like all animation methods has to have an artiste behind. Any solutions?
@HowardWimshurst8 жыл бұрын
I advise that you learn to draw! Drawing is so important. Not only does it let you quickly communicate a complex idea to others, it actually helps you to see and understand the world around you! look for drawing classes in your local area. Drawing on the right side of the brain by Betty Edwards is a good book to help. Whilst reading the book, go out into a public place and draw people, they can be walking, talking, sitting, playing whatever. After about 1000 you will have major improvements to your drawing ability. make sure to draw places you see as well. Again, about 1000 locations should do it. I can't stress how good it is to draw. Don't try and avoid learning to draw

i m having trouble maintaining lineweight when using flash.... anytips on that??
@HowardWimshurst9 жыл бұрын
+Sci hmm that's tricky. In my case i feel like I don't have enough line width variation. You should be able to mess around with your pressure sensitivity settings on any graphics tablet. that should help the problem. But in general, the Flash brush is not very good and it is very clumsy. Unfortunately that's one of the pains you have got to live with when using flash. But try your tablet settings

+Howard Wimshurst Thanks a lot bro, Your lines are really good..!! Only in flash the brush tool is a bit tricky, i keep adjusting settings often, i feel i need to practice more. Please publish more tutorials and animations, Wild Fur inspires me a lot.. Cheers...
@HowardWimshurst9 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I guess the silver lining is that when you get used to the flash brush, when you draw or paint in photoshop or krita or Manga studio the brush feels like HEAVEN hahaha. New tutorials every, stay tuned!
