i wish i had a kalimba. i've wanted a piano before but my family is very poor for that so i thought maybe a kalimba could be a better substitute. although we aren't able to buy that either. thank you for showing this video it really comforts me despite not having one of my own. edit: oh wow a lot has happened during these 4 months! i got some amazing news everyone, i have a real piano (: i was scrolling through craigslist's free stuff just because and someone was giving away a piano! it was tuned and everything :D the seller was happy to give the piano to me and helped me with the process of bringing it to my apartment! the piano is now in my room, i only got it about two weeks ago and i've made amazing progress! i learned a bunch of songs and at the moment i am learning La Campanella. unfortunately i don't have a kalimba but on the bright side i can use the app! thank you so much everyone for your kind words and suggestions (: another update: i have barely gotten the first 10-ish seconds of la campanella it's so hard but i'll try to learn some more before summer ends! More updates woo: I wasn't able to learn much of the Campanella considering its super difficult. But! I learned a ton of other classical songs that I've wanted to learn. At the moment I'm learning Loves Sorrow, I've made some decent progress! I'm still self taught though so I can't really play with sheet music but I'm doing my best using videos (: 4/22/22 update! - I know a lot of songs now and have definitely improved :P Still looking for a teacher in the future but I think for learning myself I have learned a bunch of pieces! Loves Sorrow is still a work in progress, however I can successfully play different variations of Merry Go Round of Life which is the best :D thank you everyone for the kind replies n stuff y’all are the best!
