I can construct a possible scenario based on the available information. I think the flat was purchased on the dowry money of the lady's parents. This man who works as police must have some kind of bad habbits, gambling and addictions and made debt. As per his statement he had debt of 6lakhs so to recover this money he decided to sell the only flat at 10lakh that was bought by the dowry money. The only hope/asset/expectation of this mother was the piece of flat and 2 kids. The mother objected and had a severe fight the night before & she thought this new year could be better in paradise with 2 kids rather than spending in this hell with this man.! She was going through a severe unattended mental trauma.

@ Ok my bad I am sorry for the choice of word at this point of time. I know it is early to reach to conclusion. But I archieved the word to use it after 3 months when conclusion can be drawn. But tell me these things:- 1. The night before they had a fight & in the morning she did this along with the kids. How can a mother take such a bold step! I will be more keen to know what made the mother take such a bold step?Do you think these signals came out in one night? or these signals were comming out since a long time but the man missed to analyze those signals & comprehend it beforehand? Was it not the failure of the man? 2. A police officer earning atleast 30-40k per month. What made him go debt of 6lakh and that too had to sell the only piece of flat available? and after the death of "trio" blaming the mother in law & brother in law with baseless allegation. how can they have an influence on his family life? 3. Maybe after listening to the blood relative of the woman we can have a broaded perspective and horizon on this matter. But dnt worry I have changed & archieved this word "dog" and may have to use this later on.
