The Howse Pass route should be a Transportation and Utility Corridor. Canada is short the critical infrastructure it needs to prosper. It might also be more feasible to build and alternate rail route, than it would to double track through the Spiral Tunnels.

This idea is absurd, irrational, shortsighted, dangerous, destructive, selfish, and unacceptable.

The "prosperity we deserve"? This idea is deplorable! The suggestion that it is acceptable to disturb this unique ecosystem and already protected area under the guise of economic prosperity is misguided and terribly near-sighted. This is a case where further development is definitely not progress. Shame on Fred Nash and the Central Alberta Economic Partnership for promoting this development.

Wow, I honestly thought this was going to be a video on the historical and CULTURAL and ENVIRONMENTAL significance of Howse Pass to Canada, not the promotion of some insane development scheme! Wow, I am disgusted that this is coming from my home-towns newspaper, this sickens me... with Red Deers history of environmental consciousness, the promotion of the destruction of Howse Pass makes Red Deer Advocate pathetic. Thanks for getting me up to date on the issue, I can now keep my eye and protest this disgusting project idea. Shame!

This video would be a lot more useful if it showed us a map of where this pass is. Fly through is cool, but tells me nothing.
