I have a question, Does the customer have to load money on the gift course? , or do they already come loaded when you sell them?

The customer determines the amount for the gift card. When they purchase it online or in person (POS) you will be prompted to add the amount or choose a predetermined amount. Then you will "load" the card, by swiping it to link the amount/customer account with the gift card. For eGift cards, they will be given an email with the card number.

Greetings. Is it possible to have only one pre-determined gift card amount listed? When I set up my card, it seems to require that I put a unique value in all the fields. I only want one. Possible?

At this time, Square only allows for multiple denominations.

The customer who purchases it will be given a code to gift. That can be used to purchase from your shop

@@mikem6796 For redeeming a gift card online, the customer will select “gift card” or “card on file” to pay with a gift card. There is a gift card page on your site (which you can find under gift cards menu) where customers can see how much is left on the card and transaction history when they enter the card number

Hi Heide! The Square gift cards will only work with the shop that it was purchased from. Most times the names and info is on the back of the cards.

Can the gift card be used to pay appointment deposits through Square ? I’m wondering because I use square as my payment processor on acuity scheduling and I require appointment deposits

Hi Aryana, you can use Square gift cards for appointments directly. With you taking payments through Acuity, they wouldn’t be able to use the gift cards because Square takes the payment but doesn’t connect their database to Acuity.

Because the gift cards are store specific you can only use the Square store gift card with the store it was purchased from.
