Howto Use Tx700s as a Profinet Slave

Creating the ProfitNet Master (PC)
1. Ensure the PC is able to make a Profinet connection ( [ • Howto debug connection... ]( • Howto debug connection... ) )
2. Create and configure the device tree (Ethernet → PN_Controller →CODESYSProfinetDevice)
Creating the ProfiNet Slave (Tx700s)
1. Purchase the “CODESYS Key” USB Dongle ([store.codesys....](store.codesys....)
2. Purchase the license([store.codesys....](store.codesys....)
3. Install the license on the dongle ([ • Licensing as of CODESY... ]( • Licensing as of CODESY... ))
4. Activate the Licence in CoDeSys
5. Create and configure the device tree (Ethernet → CODESYSProfinetDevice)
Special Note
1. Remember to assign and match the device station names in the Device Tree
2. For Profinet Slave, when adding “Ethernet” into device tree, select “Display all versions (for experts only)”, then select the “Ethernet by 3S - Smart Software Solutions GmbH” Version: 3.5.14.0
3. When using Profinet device profile from 3S, both master and slave I/O device tree must be the in the same slots
4. Different from using Profinet device profile from Turck, where user needs to switch the input and output for master/slave. (page 39 of PROFINET Controller Device Commisioning in Codesys 3)
5. Yellow circle represents the device is currently running a 30min free trial mode
