It was a type of marine lizard and one of the largest carnivores that lived in the oceans during this time. Mosasaurus was a formidable predator with a long, sleek body and powerful jaws lined with sharp teeth, which it used to catch and eat a variety of prey, including fish, turtles, and ammonites. Its long, streamlined body allowed it to swim quickly through the water, while its four paddle-like limbs provided excellent maneuverability. Mosasaurus is known for its appearance in the Jurassic World movie franchise as a terrifying prehistoric predator.
