Many years ago doing a bible study, the teacher had a way of explaining Eve's creation. Eve was not created from Adam's head for him to be superior to her. She was not created from his feet, that he should walk over her. She was created from his side that she would be equal to him, next to his heart to be loved by him and under his arm to be protected by him. I thought this was a beautiful explanation.

Fortunately, our church has a lot of people who are conscientious about food and our events offer a variety of healthy options. Oddly enough, when we started buying Whole Foods and making meals from scratch (which don’t take very much time if one uses the slow cooker, instant pot, batch cooking, freezer meals, one-pot meals, or sheet pan dinners) our grocery bill went down because we were more satisfied, and the food was more nutritious. We were not hungry as often and did not crave all of the empty carbs (aka processed foods).

The unhealthy food guy was spot on. I always feed my kids before VBS (for example), because the meal is so bad. I know finances are tight, volunteers are scarce so time is at a premium, and the processed stuff is easy, but “Veggie Straws” are not actually a vegetable side. So much of the food is just processed junk food, corn+sugar flavored different ways and processed in factories to have different textures. Carrot sticks, cut cucumbers, apple slices, etc. aren’t a tough sell for many kids. Our church serves a meal on Wednesdays that is pretty healthy and whole food based, but for some reason, church nurseries/youth groups tend to serve terrible food.

@@BlueRidgeVirginia Galatians 3:28 says there is no male or female in Christ Jesus Genesis 1:26 God created mankind in his own image, how could two people created in the image of likeness of God not be equal? In Luke 24:10-11 women were the ones who found the tomb but were not believed. At this point in history women weren’t considered as reliable witnesses as men. God choosing women find the tomb explicitly goes against all norms of the time and is practically speaking showing that God trusts women just as much as He trusts men Although scripture does not explicitly talk about feminism (mostly because the biblical authors would’ve had no knowledge of this word) examples of women being treated as equals to men are not hard to find.

But if it's something that doesn't impact our Salvation, it's a minor issue and we shouldn't be focused on haggling over it. I feel like the angels and stuff are all minors. @@Mel59841 You are correct. Women are not pastors. My church opened the door to women pastors and they took over, in a sort time the church has been ruined. I see someone else responded to your comment but they have lied to you. The Bible is clear women are not to preach in church. The person who replied to you is out of their mind, obviously because they have departed from scripture. Christians must not go beyond what is written. Anyone claiming to be a prophet, and saying God asked them to preach, the same is a fool and a liar. God would never do such a thing. People who make such a claim are false prophets and they are carrying Gods name in to emptiness. The verses that are used are not used and they are not taken out of context. The context is explaining who can be a pastor. The thing most people fail to comprehend is that not only are all women disqualified from being a pastor, but the majority of men are also disqualified. I'm glad you were not denouncing Halloween like many do. Where there is no law there is no transgression. There is no law against Halloween and it is fun to participate. I don't like the idea that Christians need to give up fun and become like an army of vanilla storm troopers. I think she was saying that the way some people (both believer and non believer alike) get hung up on the disbelief of the depiction of angels (in turn heaven and God and His word..truth..all that is Him) is yet another thing backed up by science and undeniable fact in terms of existing and perceiving in and of yet another thing which I haven't seen people talk about before. Dimensions. Something of 1 or 2D would view us differently and we also view things of 1 and 2 dimensions differently than we do the things that are also 3D. If we're reading the Bible with the thought of.. "of course they looked like this they're of God's dimension", "of course God's voice sounded like thunder, He's God Himself communicating from His dimension", "of course we can't explain His ways, like making a mountain move and the sea to split in half, He's the creator of our 3D world". Doubts on AI, I understand and agreed, but I'm not sure where aliens came from. I thought it made sense and actually helped me to understand how to look at the Bible as I read it in such an obvious way it's kind of quite questionable now why I never made the connection before. This actually goes against the thought that some people try to say that people of the Bible confirmed alien contact when speaking of the angels within the Bible.

I don't begin to understand scary/gross Halloween stuff, but as long as it doesn't depict Satanic stuff, I wouldn't say anything. Also, those angel descriptions could be symbolic too. As for women, the Proverbs 31 woman and Lydia both ran businesses. Women are multi-faceted people and can do many things. Women who work outside of the home still prioritize their families. All of this is a distraction from living out Christ's commands, and no, conservative religion, any conservative religion, does not treat women well. (Feminists are people who advocate for men and women being viewed as equal in value by society. Equal doesn't mean same.).

I have to disagree with you on that last point. I don’t think culture reacting badly to something means we aren’t reflecting God correctly. The Bible is clear that the world will hate us. That the world hates goodness and loves evil. It isn’t up to us to water things down. I think that is what got us here in the first place. A culture that hates God because we, the Church, didn’t stand up for truth because we don’t want to offend (even in situations where there is church abuse) But the gospel is offensive… there is a way to say things that is not reflecting God but we shouldn’t look to the culture’s reactions to know that. We should look to wise, mature believers and ultimately the Bible. When it comes to that clip I would bet it didn’t matter how he said things because if he puts any distinction on men and women’s roles, this culture will not be happy about it. Why would we expect someone who hates God and his commandments to agree or even be happy with hearing His truth? Btw I’m not defending everything that football player (don’t know his name😬🤷🏼‍♀️) said because I don’t know everything he has said about this. I did agree with the things I have heard but that doesn’t take away from my main point. Btw, I am really enjoying these reaction videos! 👍🏻
